No kidding, it looked like Matt Z was mad that he didn't get assigned to the Mountain West Media Day in Los Vegas so he took it out on the Missouri Valley Media day in SF.

I haven't watched any of the coverage, but since NDSU announced, Zimmer and John Gaskins seemed to have taken a page out of the Fargo media book. Let's talk FBS into existence.

The first half of the season won't tell us much except at Nebraska.   The first half is an incredibly easy schedule.   The real test comes down the stretch.   We have to make sure the gas tank is still full.

Good I like having a tougher schedule at the end either we are ready to be a playoff team or we aren't.

I would like to take a licking to USD at their place. Always a tough place for us to play. I haven’t regretted not attending the game at their place. Let’s turn it around this year! Time to head down there to watch us win!

Have gone a few times, easy to get a ticket, tailgating is enjoyable. If you look at last year's tape we lost by less than a touchdown and they scored a touchdown on a fluke play. We were the better team. They have a new QB this year.

Didn't Jerry get injured in Vermillion last year? He was never the same after that.

everything about this is sloppy.....just sayin'

Maybe they could find a local HS theater group to build/create a decent looking backdrop and stage it there. This looks pretty sad.

Let’s win this thing in smashville and get an fbs invite

How many other FCS teams would be on an FBS invite list ahead of UND ?

I don’t think UNDs AD has the ability to think ahead .

ndsu kept saying they didn’t have any contact or heard from any FBS conferences about getting an invite, that was a bunch of bs , they had been working on that for a long time, why else did their coach stay, he knew what was coming

I like the idea of "a standard".  I think UC-Davis will move forward with football in the near future.  But, they have some serious facility upgrades to complete first.  UC Davis has unveiled "Aggie Ascent," a $265 million, privately-funded athletics master plan to modernize infrastructure ahead of its move to the Mountain West Conference. Phase one prioritizes a $50 million expansion of UC Davis Health Stadium (football), a $14.5 million Woody Wilson Track & Field Complex, and an $18.7 million Golf Training Center.

The other football school might already be in place for the MWC and that is Grand Canyon.  It would be a project but they have the location, money and staduims in the area.  The reality is the Grand Canyon has shown that they will support athletics and the on campus student population is growing.

Mid-2,000s - on campus ~ 1,000

Early - 2010s - on campus ~ 15,000

Present - on campus over 25,000  Plus you have the online enrollment of (fall 2024)  Total 113,257, UnderGrad:  75,936, PostGrad 37,321

In addition, they have a couple of area facilities that they could use for football.  They kind of feel like a UT-SA, Liberty, Unv of South Alabama or Liberty - start up to FBS as fast possible.

We are definitely due to win down there, I'm usually skeptical heading into that week. But I think this is the year we finally get a W down there. Hoping Jerry exercises his demons down there from last year.
