Ya no doubt, he didnt crap on us. 

Danny saw Bubba getting extension after extension and saw HC promotion wasn't coming anytime soon. So he bet on himself and made a change. Which he is surely a better OC than when he left, as Im sure he has learned some things under the other staff. While a player or two ended up going to SDSU, I don't think Danny was actively trying to take guys with him but I dont know

If Danny would have stayed, when Bubba was let go they still might have hired Schmidt, rightfully so. Danny has a little more experience now, all the way around its a good thing.

Regardless of how you feel Danny handled his last departure from UND, getting him back has to be an upgrade over Fruechte. Has to be...right??

I would have left UND too if I were him. He saw how things were going under Bubba and how bad the defense was.

i do remember a few play calls he made that surprised everyone that worked 

I guess when I say crapped I was looking at going to another valley school, then the replacement did the same thing

The way things went down for Danny to leave I have Danny’s back more than anyone. On top of that he has always and will always bleed green. I’m tired of these bums talking out of pocket.

If he would have been patient he would have probably got the job but eager beaver leaves and takes some of our best playas with him

I am super excited he is back. He has always been one of, if not, my favorite UND football coach. He always was ready to talk UND football with anyone. He also took time to throw the ball or talk after practices with fans.

Now that we have a competent OC lets Finnish getting the things we need in the portal and move on and get this new offense together. I want another qb competition cause Jerry didnt inspired to much confidence at the end of the year, give everyone a chance to win the job.

I guess most fans and boosters were hoping for a splash higher that we would be an unknown going into the next season but teams in the Missouri Valley have already figured Danny out run up the gut swing pass trick play double reverse flea flicker

With Gordie as run game coordinator hopefully we won’t abandon the run too early when it was working. (That is the one thing that frustrated me, except the NDSU game where we ran it at them). With Danny am expecting completion percentage go up, I do hope for some deeper pass attempts, pass routes on third do not go to shallow(I believe that was a common with him and of course Issac went deep more…I sound like Goldilocks) and finally being at SDSU and with Gordie use our TE’s with the pass.

I think Danny really wants to be at UND.  He already was here a long time, and I don't think he would have left had Bubba not hung on for too long.  But, the experience he gained by leaving makes him far more valuable now than had he not left at all.  Welcome back, Danny!  Looking forward to you and Eric taking UND football to new heights.
