Playoffs First Round: UND @ Tennessee Tech

What UND did today will benefit the entire conference for future playoff spots. Can't help but think if Larson would have still been on the committee UND does not get in.

Challenge with Jerry running the RPO is he is not a threat if he keeps it.  He might gain 7 or 8 where Simon can house one. 
 

If that is the offense going forward, Simon being more of a running threat could create more space for Siedel who has been quiet as of late as well.  
 

Someone said it earlier but getting all the pieces back this week gives me hope the offense is due for a breakout next week

As long as they don’t run the offense with Simon like they did last year when he didn’t run enough to keep them honest.

The 701 Award is used at the discretion of the coaches of the program you choose. Guessing the staff would be smart about who they award what and when so that a kid doesn’t leave after getting paid.

lol the slope has been slippery long before today. Schmidt just said something out loud that is true. He doesn’t want his guys poached and neither do I. It sure as hell beats sitting on your hands and doing nothing

I was told by someone in the know that they get 2% in spring, 2% start of fall and 96% after play in 5th game so can’t leave and take redshirt.  Something Schmidt brought with him. Same as the big programs he was with did it.

The NCAA is incredibly hypocritical, for sure; but trying to criticize contemporary concepts by UND’s coaching staff is ludicrous (if that was your intent).

My intent was not to critize Schmidt in that situation. I would have responded exactly as he did....protecting my players from leaving. 

It was moreso to citizen the NCAA...on the same page as you "incredibly hypocritical."

So if you ask Dom Izzo what the best  conference is he'd say the MVFC, after the SEC of course....😀

All that is written in the FM about the mighty MVFC yet when it comes time to pick your teams for the bracket you can't put your blind rage aside and go against what you've preached for years with solid journalistic belief that lesser conference teams are now more deserving....

very glad I didn't follow this thread for about 25-30 pages.  I did waste any time.  UND is a very improved team.  huge coach.  improved the defense more than any on the thread though.  now I will toot my horn.  when we had not sign a DC I said it would be coach Schmidt.  I didn't know but I figured He was saving money for other coaches.  we have the best defense in the MVFC. not that Eric cares his sights are on a championship.  just think how our defense improved.  offense needs some work.  please cheer for UND next week bite your tongue on criticism.

Have you watched us piss away 5 wins this season mainly due to play calling and clock management?
