They didn't play any of the teams we played this year? Does that help us facing harder competition?

You would think so.  We should be battle tested.

In the past 3 weeks Tenn Tech beat Tenn-Martin by 3 and Gardner-Webb by 6.  Both those teams are rated very similar to a bad 3-8 N Iowa team in the Sagarin combined FBS/FCS rankings.  If UND plays up to their level, they win.

UND has to win playoff games.

Otherwise in future years they'll think "we let these guys in every year and they poop the bed."

A nice 2 wins in the playoff this yr.... equals...next year...

"Just look what happened last year when UND was 7-5 and we let them in when some people thought we shouldnt!"

Because 7-5 is the height of the bell curve for UND (and most MVFC teams).

Yes to a degree but also the last 8 seeds really are supposed to be underdogs so its not like they gave us a top 16 seed n we say we lost 1st round.

UND has I think 2 wins in a row if they show up.  D always keeps them in games and if offense can get it back together. Both those teams won’t want it.  Also Montana got a hard first matchup, 3 seed and they may have a healthy jackrabbit’s team with Chase back. Ouch.

1st - jet sweep (2 yards)
2nd - over LG  (2 yards)
3rd - 6 yard slant
Lather, rinse, repeat

That was the Murray State MO.

… and versus SDSU it was

 1st - over LG

2nd - QB power

3rd - overthrow

Lather, rinse, repeat

That will not do this week. Assume we’ll need 45 points and play for it.

Anyone going to the game?

I have Southwest points burning a hole in my pocket and it’s only an hour from  Nashville airport.

Looks like they throw it a bit more than they run it.  Senior QB who is completing 65% of his passes.

A lot will be said about the SOS and what not if the 6th team from the MVFC wins on their field.

Any B1G jobs open this week our OC can jump into pre bowl season?

Coach Schmidt in his first season as head coach at UND gets the 2025 Fighting Hawks into the postseason!

UND plays Tennessee Tech (11-1) at noon (CT) on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Tough matchup as Tennessee Tech’s only loss was at Kentucky. Tennessee Tech went undefeated in conference play and in FCS play.

Great opportunity for UND football. Let’s Go Hawks!

You mean Chaves got us into the playoffs. Schmidt's team !@#$ the bed in every close game.

Having Chavezzz on the committee certainly helped.

UND football (not Chaves) won the 7 division one games needed to enter the playoffs.

UND football and Coach Schmidt need to do better versus the Dakotas and Montana schools, no doubt, but give credit where credit is due. This is year one. And a new season for major accomplishment has presented itself …

Chaves did appropriately focus attention on strength of schedule, and this situation is not mutually exclusive …

Both the wins (UND football) and the appropriate focus on strength of schedule and the quality losses (Chaves) deserve credit ..

It is good to see that SOS is really important.  We could have easily been 9-3 if we scheduled cream puffs. I like scheduling like we did this year. But not just that, even though we lost those two....we were up late in both. Montana is supposedly the Mecca and we were dominating and had self inflicted wounds.

Let's make the committee feel justified on Saturday.  Also, that helps the MVFC in the future when these debates occur.
