We don’t. OC can call all sorts of plays but if QB has no touch, over throws short passes and under throws long passes, Coach Walsh couldn’t look good.

maybe ike and jerry arent' a match made in heaven but eric pointed at jerry and said he gives us the best chance to win a game and ike is being bone headed about how to best use jerry?

jerry sure as hell didn't call some these bone headed plays we've seen the last few weeks...where is the guy that had kleiman and the bitches in the small apple wishing for the end of the game (which ike crapped but...)

One of the things that the UND radio was saying is how last few weeks he has been staring down his primary receiver. He spread the catches around in the 1st half of the season. Now he is making it easier for coverage to read his eyes, and he is trying to force things into coverage instead of any check downs. Like the opposite of QBs of the past who just went to the check downs all the time. 

 

Also not sure why we keep running the RB out behind the LOS and throwing a dart at his head that has seemed to not work more than it has been productive. He isn't hitting him in stride like a swing pass, seems half the time SS is back peddling trying to grab the ball that is either in line with him or behind him.

agreed....the short passes have these guys momentum going towards the sideline...gotta catch it...AND turn your body uphill hoping that your not gonna get your knees blown out or head taken off...and then the sideline comes up really quick

Someone mentioned Jerry focusing in on one guy. I think it was the first 4 games or so......like 9 different people caught passes? Seems like we were really mixing it up when the offense was running well.

He definitely checked into some of those plays in the ndsu game, particularly at the goal line. 

I doubt you know their checks, so this is just an assumption on your part. 

Maybe they need to limit that for a game or two and see if that helps slows things down again.

Simplify the playbook for Jerry and emphasize the run game. That will give our sophomore QB a chance to reset, settle down and get back to basics.

Between the crappy TV production and meager team performance,  wasn't that fun today. We got rid of the SU loss hangover,  and still got a win. Get back home and regroup and let's light up SDSU next week.....and sneak into a 7 seed.

Not 100% sure how it works with officiating crew assignments in the MVFC but I believe the same pool of officials work all of the conf games.  The white hat for todays game is from the Twin Cities. I know he was at UND last year but had no other UND games this year but worked a MVFC game every weekend. 

We work score table together for hs basketball and he texted me yesterday that he was working todays game.  I'll ask him if they keep same crews together or how they fill them out each week. 

Edit - he said they maybe get a different ref in one position any given week but mostly same crew.

New (crappier) coach.. .full of injuries...on the road vs a top 10 (UND).

If UND losses this game...they improved their  "3 season rolling average".....maybe....barely....
