Any rumors on the recruiting front? Been pretty slow around here. I seem to recall in previous years that a few commitments usually come right after the U16 and U17 championships which just finished this past weekend.

I've been waiting, and waiting, and ...

Wow, I didn't realize this kid was considering UND. I saw him play, very good. I thought for sure he was going to be a Goof.

Chose UMD over UND and Minny because of the facilities? Yeah, ok lol. Good luck, kid. We'll see ya in the NCHC.

The 2nd kid in a year to do so,Joey Anderson of Hill Murray being the other, but I'm not sure of too many people who would agree with that reasoning.

Duluth's arena isn't a dump, you know.

I don't know about anyone else, I like the Duluth area and could see how a recruit might pick that school.

Anybody know of any possible recruits from Wayzata? Heard there's one we are looking at.

Pure speculation

From SB Nation

42. Mark Senden (#10 Gold) 5-10/175 Wayzata High School - He's on the smaller side and projects as a third or fourth line player in college who could be a good penalty kill specialist. He was tenacious and got his stick in lanes on the backend. Offensively he's more of a setup guy in the attacking zone.

Or one of the two defeners

24. Harmon Sorenson (#6 Royal) 5-9/160 Wayzata High School - He had good vision and was a strong skater. He did a good job pushing the puck up ice.

25. Tristan Moss (#7 Kelly) 6-2/209 Wayzata High School - He was a little overmatched here due to his lack of speed and inability to read plays as well as some of the higher-tiered blue liners. However, his size is intriguing and with a little more development, he could be a solid shutdown fifth or sixth defender in college.

Some other Minnesota high school recruits I would guess we have some sort of interest in and I'm sure there are more but this is off the top of my head:

Grant Loven, Tanner Tweten, and Dixon Bowen-EGF-F

Jake Jaremko-Elk River-F

John Peterson-Holy Family-F

Kevin Fellows-Prior Lake-F

Grant Mismash-Shattuck-F

Jaxon Nelson-Luverne-F

Dayton Rasmussen-Holy Family-G

Jake Oettinger-Lakeville North/USNTDP-G

John Peterson would be a nice pick up. 2011/12 (22-41-63), 2012/13 (24-35-59), 2013/14 (29-33-62)

I wonder if UND is looking at Bowen or Tweten?  Where is Bowen playing right now?  Tweten is leading his Elite league team in points.

In the herald chat last week Schlossman made it sound like they were looking at Loven, Poolman(now with the Force), Tweten, and Bowen and he wouldn't be surprised to see some commitments before Christmas although I'm not sure whether he meant that was to UND or even involving the EGF kids. Bowen was on the Fargo Force training camp roster but not sure if he plans to play USHL for a full year or maybe just before and after the high school season like Bethune from Warroad is.

I really like Jake Jaremko too he is a smooth player and finishes well and has lit up the elite league pretty well so far. Actually I would love if any of those players on that list ended up playing for the Sioux.
