smokey the cat Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Exactly, however I don't think Jonny is coming on anything close to a full ride. I was trying to stick up for some buddies because there are a few losers on this site. Did you look in the mirror just now? Quote
geaux_sioux Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Did you look in the mirror just now? And boom goes the dynamite, poolside........ In Arizona. 1 Quote
90siouxfan Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I assume NCAA has rules and limits on scholarships. If I win the lottery and offer to Hakstol that I would give a player a private scholarship, would that be a rule violation? Or will it just need to be very covert. Quote

That would be a major NCAA violation unless you are a close relative. Relatives can pay for school and the player would be considered a walk-on. Quote

siouxnami Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 How long does it take for adoptions to be leagal? Longer than it takes to spellcheck "legal." :-p Quote

Goon Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 How long does it take for adoptions to be leagal? Took my wife and I six-months to adopt my daughter. Quote

Frozen4sioux Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Took my wife and I six-months to adopt my daughter. High five for the effort and being a giver of so much in adoption. .. Way to go man that's awesome. Takes a special kind of great person to do!! Quote
smokey the cat Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Took my wife and I six-months to adopt my daughter. That fast? Congratulations. Quote
scpa0305 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Is UND recruiting Ryan Norman (SSM)? I have heard a ton on him however I can't find any link verifiyng commitment other than a Goofer website noting he is a recruit (which I am guessing means he's verbally accepted). I didn't know his pops played in GF. Quote

I didn't know his pops played in GF. He is a Gopher committ so I would say no. I think I read something when he committed that he was a Gopher fan and I don't know if it mentioned if the Sioux were in on him or not. Quote

choyt3 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Doubt there's a chance he plays college hockey, but here is James Patrick's nephew: If you're in the US, watch this one. http://www.tsn.ca/powerade24/ If you're in Canada, follow this one. http://www.tsn.ca/videohub/?search=Nolan%20patrick&show=274212 Quote
#1Hakfan Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Guys should be keeping a eye on Zach Yon? He is the best forward in this area! Quote
jjensen Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Pretty sure he was on campus for I think the first northern Michigan game. So und must have some interest in him. Quote
UND99 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Pretty sure he was on campus for I think the first northern Michigan game. So und must have some interest in him. Correct. Yon visited, but UND has not yet offered. Nice player though. Quote
SiouxScore Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Correct. Yon visited, but UND has not yet offered. Nice player though. Yep I asked Schloss about him in the Herald chat and he said Yon has visited a couple times but no offer yet. I kinda wonder if Hak wants to see him against USHL competition before an offer but he is definitely a good player. Quote

I believe his dad played for the gophers, so I would think that if he impresses in the USHL, they would have the inside track on him, but who knows. Quote

Yeah, hard to say. We didn't get the latest Zajac, even with that history, and Archibald's kid is in Omaha, so the (perceived) right opportunity can trump lineage. Quote
brianvf Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I am bummed about Archibald. Kid turned out into a heck of a player at UNO. He's having a very good season...we could use his goal scoring! Quote

UND did scout him and he had a terrible game with a coach there. I think UNO offered before UND got a second look. Quote
