Fargo media Izzo and Mcfeely way overboard  it will be interesting  if this fails because this could  to be huge financial risk for university the amount of resources to football when they needed to improve infrastructure on the campus get growth in enrollment. This is not to mention this going put other sports programs on hold there because I have to believe they are tapping into those dollars. I will also bet next president coming asking for funding from state is going to see some resistant especially looking at both down turn in ag and oil industry. I hear they say this was risk to stay but risk was NDSU falling from dominating FCS to just be good and Fargo only claim for success is football.
My analysis is costs are only beginning for University for this move we will soon here first how imperative to update Dome but it will need to be studied then cost will be too much to remodel they will need new stadium so they can compete in FBS. Then they will need more facilities for the players village complex to house the players and all functions in one area close to new stadium. I would also like to be mouse in corner with other coaches at NDSU what they think of cost to just move football to this new conference. This may sound like sour grapes but it isn’t the university I believe has lost touch with there major vision educating our youth and helping our state to grow by helping one major industries to compete in this highly competitive world.

I think there's a limit as to how many gaming licenses are available in GF.   I'm sure that heavily regulated as much as liquor licenses.   That's why there's such a battle to get those spots.

if und did do pull tabs...does it have to be in GF/North dakota.....could KEM get em in a spot in vegas?   or minny or mesa?

UND has the infrastructure in place and there is no excuse to not compete for a national title this year. The Bison leaving for assumed "greener pastures" was inevitable, and the right move for them, but I have some ideas to keep UND relevant and expand their national brand as the landscape of college football continues to change, as I do believe another shake-up is coming where eventually the P4 contemplates splitting off with Notre Dame, and the remaining G6 is the de facto I-AA/FCS.

1) Dakota Cup: Similar to the Commander-in-Chief's Cup with USAFA, Army, and Navy, but with SDSU, UND, and USD. Alternatively, establish SDSU as your rival. USD does not have the resources, fan support, or community to back a play for FBS in the future like SDSU.

2) Die Hard Commitment to sell-outs. Whatever it takes. Semester of tuition for students given away in the 4th quarter (must be present to win); drop concession/beer prices to Tarleton State levels; open up the catwalks; start planning a proper entrance now (this cannot be an afterthought, think Montana State level cool); flagship these games like it's the only thing going on in the state. Explore what Midco can do but get your ass out of the valley and start contemplating what being on statewide TV might look like. Make the fan experience at the Alerus the best it can possibly be - take the bitching seriously, the fans know. Every single city with an alumni presence: Bismarck, Fargo, Minot, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Denver - needs to have a bar where watching the game is the thing. We're not just a hockey school, too much has been invested.

3) Associate yourself with Montana State, Montana, and SDSU every chance you get. Do what you can to schedule a major Big Sky opponent with open dates in 2027, 2028, or 2029. Alternatively, seek out Tarleton State.

4) Find a neutral site game for football in Vegas or Nashville. Promote the hell out of it and have fan flights.

5) Finally, I think the Top $ programs in the Big Sky and MVFC need to discuss a merger and trim the fat. Indiana State, Murray State, Portland State, Northern Colorado, etc., don't have the requisite commitment to football required to boost UND's brand. UND, SDSU, Montana, Montana State, Idaho, Illinois State, UC Davis, and then perhaps see what kind of stomach USD, UNI, Southern Illinois, Youngstown, EWU, Weber State, Northern Arizona has for really doubling down on football from a financial standpoint. Sac State can go to hell, they made their bed, they can lie in it. I'd like to for my alma mater, UST, to go all in on football, but I just don't think that's going to happen, if it did, UST would have the market and financial resources to compete right away, the issue now is facilities and being landlocked in a neighborhood that is anti-campus expansion. They've essentially flagshipped basketball and hockey, and I think they'll leave the Summit eventually.

4.  double banger....football and hockey on the same weekend in vegas or nashville against the same school.....do it!

NDSU has a 111MM athletic endowment. Which allows them to off set the lowest state ,school, and student-fee funds of any public FCS orG5 school. 7.6MM.

Comparative endowment(and other allocated funds)

SDSU 22.4mm(12.3mm)

UND 49mm (14.8mm)

I can't speak for Grand Forks, but Fargo-West Fargo is a battle royale.  Like the day new possible locations open up or contracts expire there are lines at the door if you've got your paperwork in order.

I'm the last one to know the legalities of how it all works.  Like its been said before, its a whole new world in collegiate athletics.

It’s bad

lot if fighting going on with non profits

some site stealing going on as well

problem is some non profits have 10 sites it’s not fair

Think you for the facts

does anyone know who’s responsible for you and these athletic enrollment? Is it the champion club? Because we used to be on top of Ndsu who’s been running the champions club if it is
