TwamleyShuffle Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If Larson goes to UMinn, who does SCSU sign to coach there? Quote
tnt Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We’ve seen with Jackson that if you can recruit and get your players to play hard and consistently, you can win. I think both of those candidates have exhibited that they believe in those virtues. The recruiting side should be easier than they are used to, but I would think they both know that they need to supplement the traditional recruiting with the new reality of the CHL and beyond. Remember, there were some big names in the pool when Gino was hired, and much like with Jackson, people were mad that they would take the current assistant. The bottom line is you don’t know what you’ve got until it all plays out. 3 Quote

cberkas Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago I want to know what the story was about Northern Michigan, besides Potulny leaving the way he did. Quote

Larson seems to get his guys to play hard, which didn’t seem to be present in the gopher team this year, so be careful on what you wish for, because if he can get more talented players to play hard consistently that is what you want in a coach. Had some darn good seasons there....until the end. Hopefully those questions are asked. My biggest beef with Potulny is he was also with Lucia when it started going south. Other than that, his background as a HC is better than Raboin. Quote

Raboin chose to not move from South Dakota to Minnesota. Smart smart move. 1 2 Quote
Level B Fishbowl Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago I wonder how desirable a job at Yale would be. It's similar to Harvard in that it's an elite school in a hockey hotbed and at least has a championship and some proven success (although not recently) Quote

Wilbur Posted 22 minutes ago Posted 22 minutes ago Predictions for tonight: I'll say: Michigan over Ohio State Dartmouth over Princeton Denver over Duluth. UCONN over Merrimack. I'd love chaos, but home ice wins out and Dartmouth and UCONN are better teams. Quote
