siouxfaninseattle Posted Friday at 05:11 AM Posted Friday at 05:11 AM The sad thing about Colby is that he is greatly improved from when he first started. He was a ten on the whiner scale - now he's just a seven. Quote

And yet, it is not at all surprising. This should be a great championship game. Quote

Prime example that keeping dead weight on the roster because of loyalty doesn't work anymore and neither does having players that would rather be elsewhere. 1 8 Quote

And there is only one team that hung four or more goals in a game on Hampton Slukynsky this year, and they did it twice, on back to back games in Kalamazoo. 2 Quote

Wilbur Posted Friday at 04:45 PM Posted Friday at 04:45 PM That Denver-Western game reminded me of the 2016 UND-Denver semifinal. It was all UND for most of the first and the second and then the third period a switch went off and Denver was the better team, tied it with under 5 to go, and very easily could have won it late or in OT. Western should have been up 3 or 4 goals going into the third and before you know it its a tie game, Denver is pressing them, and Slukynsky is needing to use his size to get hit with pucks through some traffic. Happy with the outcome yesterday and with the outcome in 2016. Credit to Denver for battling their way back into that game. (Davis has no eligibility left correct? ) 3 Quote

(Davis has no eligibility left correct? ) God, remember that penalty UND took late in the third? They reviewed it for a possible 5 minute major but ultimately determined only a 2 minute minor. I was so freaking nervous that entire period, I think I shaved some years off my life from all that anxiety. 2 Quote

Godsmack Posted Friday at 06:50 PM Posted Friday at 06:50 PM Just read a story in Sports Illustrated that Buium logged 51:41 minutes of ice time last night, which was approximately 64% of total game time and 15 more minutes played than the player logging the second highest amount of ice time. 1 1 Quote

These people that say we need campus sites, need to show teams in the West who can fill their areas all the time not the BC/BU one time games. If they want to have the games on campus then bid on it. Which is how they should have been doing it, but you can’t bid if you haven’t been in the NCAA Tournament in the last 5 years, don’t have the Locker rooms (4), and not 5k. (I’d have the REA a permanent host since it’s the crown jewel of college hockey) BC never hosts any regionals, the regionals in the East should never have problems when most of the schools are 3 to 5 hour drives, and regionals in Hockey East are 2 to 3 hour drives. Yost can’t host since they only have 2 lockers which I was surprised by. CC needs Broadmoor World Arena to go with the plan to make the ice sheet NHL size. Would they allow Minnesota host with a hybrid sheet? Hastings wants the Kohl Center to be NHL size (I’m sure that hasn’t happened yet, but could be wrong). One thing that irritated me with Arizona State, make playoff tickets for the students FREE. ASU had free tickets for the students all year but NCHC Playoffs they were $10 (I know it’s only $10, but everything in Mullet Arena is over priced). Give students Free tickets and put them in a section on the glass in the NCAAs that’s way better then the upper level. The NCAA and NHL should be advertising the NCAA Tournament once it’s January. During games, online ads, social media ads, and billboards/ads locally where the regionals are at. That will help get casual/new hockey fans to see the college game. Also to stop the secondary market prices. Put regional tickets on sale two weeks (right before conference title games) start. That will help fans get tickets to the right regional. Just some thoughts on what should be done. 1 2 Quote
