Everybody gets $2500 for each NCHC playoff win. Everybody gets $5000 for NCAA playoff birth. Everybody gets $10,000 for NCAA championship. or something like that… What would the total be if they won the title Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Socioeconomics is another part of NIL. Hockey players aren't as likely to turn around and give NIL $ to family, etc. Harvard was able to pay for their team to relocate to Florida during the pandemic due to a benefactor, likely a parent. I've also heard of more than one college team flying on the player's family's private jet. Point is, there are more players that don't see NIL money as life-changing compared to other sports. Everyone getting something, even if it is only low four figures, would help avoid resentment. We can be strategic with the pot we have. 3 Quote

He's a proven winner and an alum. 12 Quote

I remember when the Ivy schools would brag about their hockey players not being on athletic scholarship. Turns out many players somehow received scholarships set up by alumni that shockingly went to really good hockey players. It was amazing Anyway, seems that money finds a way to go to really good athletes at colleges… 1 Quote

I will just take the beat coach and he can root for whoever he wants during world junior tournaments 2 5 Quote
