Wt? Are hockey insiders now thinking dane will be leading our hockey team to bigger n better things? If he’s hired, our program will go nowhere. We need new blood. Go sioux

You underestimate the Facebook soccer mom crowd & he's such a "nice guy" crowd.

One choice is difficult and unknown.

The other is the easy button.

I think a lot of casual fans would be fine with the easy button and don't wanna "rock the boat."

The AD is unlikely to put his neck out on the line for an "unknown, non UND" coach.....

Problem is WTF else is there to do around here November to March on the weekends regardless of the coach.

My guess is that they opened the coaching search with the hope of getting Hak to say yes. Since it appears that it won’t happen I suspect Dane will be named the next head coach by the end of the week. Not the way I would like to see it go but I don’t get to decide. Another tourney miss or two or continual first round failures in the next few years and we will be looking again for a new coach and also a new AD.

Not disagreeing.   In this situation what coach being hired will move that needle to increase sales.   You have a known commodity and then the unknown.   I want a coach who will let the players play for why they were brought here not to fit a square peg in a round hole of a system.

I was pretty excited this morning. I really thought we might actually be going after Raboin once Hak was out of contention. Now I feel deflated.

Hak endorsing Jackson would be my red flag of nope. 
 

Dane could end up like Albie at BU. A big mistake of hiring someone on the staff.

I'll have to see it to believe it. Hiring the assistant coach from the coach you just fired is a bridge too far for me to really believe. Chavez has us rattled today, but he'll come through in the end. No way it'll end up being Jackson!

Hang on a minute. Please tell me the sioux sports forums got hijacked. That AI Bots are leading us to believe the next coach is already on staff. Earlier today i was excited. All the talk seemed to point to a new young coach being hired from outside. Almost makes me ill to think about it. Please please change  th narrative. New blood will replace berry? Go sioux
