Agreed wonder what the word is about und program

Probable that the finalist was one of your finalists for head coach. Herter and Fohr were not going to come here for anything less than head coach. Anyone who applied for associate coach wasn’t going to have a leg up on one of your finalists for head coach, right?

Herter was never going to come here for a lateral move.

Yes, but the other poster seemed to be upset that UND hired a couple UND alums for the openings.
So even if Herter came to UND, it still would have been upsetting for them, I think.  ;)  :)

There were other applicants. Are you questioning the hires themselves? Chyz was a must…Smaby is a colossal get.

Hope you are right.

Will Smaby bring McMorrow? Can we get Carter Casey to commit?

If being tired of status quo makes me a complainer, guilty.

And it's almost conclusive proof that there is still a divided locker room.

Would you have rather they hired Herter?  Or Hakstol?
Oh crap, those two are both alum as well.  ;)

I think he is Gwoz incognito, working back channels for the job....  hoping he gets more time to find the route from the bench to the bathroom.

I will never forget that game! I was 5 rows up behind the UND bench that night. Had a birds eye view.

I am. No idea on McMorrow or Casey. McMorrow would be nice. Works super hard, limited O but a really tough kid to play against. Again I’d take him for sure. Casey is interesting. Has always been a top MN goalie. Sure playing good right now.

Eff.....I was hoping for like a 1pm start so I could make a quick trip down to the cities with the kids.  School night makes the trip a no bueno for mama bear.

I don't know, focusing exclusively on sports seems to have worked out well for gfhockey!  ;)

Sharing this from @UNDvince97-01 in the football thread in order to spread awareness:

Two things regarding the 1883 collective that need to be addressed:

First...It is an absolute administrative embarrassment and disgrace that UND is charging the 1883 Collective 25k a year to basically raise money for UND athletics only because they are doing it in the name of the University.

Armacost, Chaves and whomever else need to be held accountable for this. It's unnecessary overhead that needs to be resolved to be more financially efficient.

If anybody wants to b*tch about something important....this is it. Calls and emails. This is unacceptable.

Second ...rent for the 1883 collective unit in Memorial Village. $1600 a month. Do the math. That's money that could be spent on athletes. Hoping the building owners can help out with that and do better for the cause.

Monday, October 13 is Columbus Day.  Schools and some employers will be closed.   Maybe that is part of the thought behind it?
