Oxbow6 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 After the WMU PPG to go up 2-0 at the end of the first the fight and compete level went to almost nothing in too many players. 2 Quote

Gotta tell you, if we are up by two in the third (which seldom happens), I am super nervous, and if we are behind by two in the first, I am almost resigned to a loss. When that mindset is even in the back of the players minds, we are in deep trouble! 2 Quote

See you again next year...we've gone 3 years in a row now, with alternating sweeps (WMU sweeps UND, UND sweeps UNO, and WMU sweeps UND)...so next year we'll see a UND sweep again. Promise. Quote

TheFlop Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Best case scenario.....a team is good and entertaining to watch....like the 2016 Championship team. The next best option is when a team maybe isn't good.....but they are entertaining to watch (i.e. Dixon Ward....Russ Romaniuk years). Worst scenario is when a team isn't very good and is nowhere near entertaining to watch (this year). 1 Quote

tnt Posted January 19 Posted January 19 16 minutes ago, gfhockey said: Why would he More money. Better ability to recruit high end players. Better facilities. More NIL opportunities. Better fanbase. Probably for the same reason you think we should win a Natty every year. If he just wants to maintain a head coaching job without much pressure, then absolutely stay put, but most competitive people want access to the best opportunity to win it all. Quote

Popular Post scpa0305 Posted January 19 Popular Post Posted January 19 Well I didn’t hop on this forum for obvious reasons last night. But that game had to be somewhere near rock bottom. Tough pill for this program to swallow. There’s been a ton of excuses so far, two legit ones, but at the end of the day…this team should be significantly better. Either the players completely forgot how to play hockey….or they’re being deployed entirely the wrong way. 5 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Post game comments by guys wearing a letter..... "I think our structure is great." ~ Jammer on UND's 58th ranked PK out of 64 teams. "We got outworked. We lost puck battles. We lost races." ~ Kunz who might be one of the least dogged players I've seen throw on a UND jersey in years. One player that was visibly frustrated last night was Sasha. Arguably this teams most complete player who actually plays with an edge and some grit. You could tell he had had enough last night. 1 Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I got the sense that Hennesey was more than a little perturbed about the post game interview process last night, and his repeated description of "it was bad, bad, bad, bad" about the game and the general tone to the voice seemed to relay some type of internal knowledge that whatever the issues are or dynamic involved with the team it was a situation beyond salvaging for the season or the current regime. I wonder if he just knows its over for his buddy. that's got to be a crappy feeling Or maybe he was just tired of watching it all too, who knows Quote

Wilbur Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 Friday night TH got down to the locker room area a little late and it seemed like Berry was going to ghost him on the interview. TH even said something about it and apologized to Berry when he did come out. Something is off there. And Berry should give Tim all the love as Tim has been one of his biggest vocal supporters for years. 5 minutes ago, Frozen4sioux said: I got the sense that Hennesey was more than a little perturbed about the post game interview process last night, and his repeated description of "it was bad, bad, bad, bad" about the game and the general tone to the voice seemed to relay some type of internal knowledge that whatever the issues are or dynamic involved with the team it was a situation beyond salvaging for the season or the current regime.
