UND1983 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Surprised not one NSIC gave Feeney an offer or an offer with shot at starting job. Or we didn’t hear about it? Quote

I would be surprised if none of them reached out to him. I’m not surprised we didn’t hear about it if they did reach out. I hope he has a good year. 2 Quote

St John's can be more attractive than NSIC especially if you consider students at that level are playing for enjoyment and a free education. Yes, they don't offer athletic scholarships, but surprising how many of their top athletes quality for academic scholarships. SJU is top 10 NAIA every year. 1 Quote

UND1983 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The way everyone loved him on SS I figured Feeney would go a bit higher than St Johns Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Lots of factors go into where a player plays. For me personally, I don’t necessarily assume a player wants to play at the highest level he can. I don’t know about Feeney. Quote

I spent a year at St John's playing (sitting on bench) for Gagliardi way back in the day. You are correct in that they find a way to get their top athletes other scholarships since athletic scholarships are not allowed. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I was told the academic scholarships were “Needs based” As in “ We need a running back” or “We need a quarterback “ 2 Quote

He ended up getting about 70-75% of his school paid for. Quote
