This team is a bubble NCAA Tourney team and bubble team for Home ice in NCHC Tourney. Hak's team always got better after the new year and made a run. I just want to see us make the NCAAs, hopefully win at least one NCAA game, and hammer the recruiting trail. 2 Quote

Like the FB program, fresh blood may be what's needed if a decision is made to make a change at the top. Whomever leads this program, the ultimate goal each season must remain the same: Hang a green banner from the rafters of REA. Anything less is not befitting a program of this stature. I'm pretty sure most of us know that it isn't possible to win one every year, but I get what you mean. Quote

If it looks like Friday in the "y" months I'll be far more leery. That was the standard MO under Hak. Parity was just starting when Hak left. Willing to bet a couple of those teams don't make FF in today's game where the line between the haves and have nots isn't as stark. Quote

That’s an excuse that most UND fans use to pass the blame because our beloved program isn’t living up to expectations. In the 9 years since Berry has been coach it 5 of the national titles have come from the NCHC, 1 from Hockey East, 1 from the ECAC and covid year. 2 Quote

Obviously, majority of fans are happy winning the regular season title but for most of us on here, we see how successful Duluth and Denver have been on a national stage and it sucks. We brag about our facilities and how good our athletes have it over other schools and yet the product on the ice isn't producing results on a national stage. Not happy at all with the lack of postseason success, but that is a far cry from “underachieving like no other”. My problem is that the teams we have major problems with are teams that are hard to play against. I would argue that we are getting soft and aren’t able to fight through the adversity. It seems we are becoming more of the gophers of old and win when our power play propels us. If we get behind, or need to win the five on five battle, we aren’t near as dominant as we used to be. That needs to change fast, but unfortunately three of the guys that are tough to play against and give us the grit, in Berg, Jammer, and Zmolek are sidelined. Quote
