To me, It’s not his loyalty to the local boy. It’s his obsession with going with experienced players over more talented freshmen. Before the ASU series when we were finally healthy at forward he basically admitted he would be doing this no matter how well Littler and Croal were playing. It’s so dumb.

Yeah, to me why would you not be playing someone with a bigger current upside, and thus getting them more experience so they can make an even bigger impact in the future as well.  Maybe there is a reason guys like Jamernik were much better competitively in their early years then seemed more complacent later.

I wasn't suggesting we hire Sandy.

I know, I was more saying that the Berry vs Sandy argument that gfhockey always starts up is pointless because neither coach will lead their team to another title anytime soon.

Berry has another first, first 21 game winning team that misses the NCAAS

Schloss just tweeted 31 wins if you went by xG

Berry has gone stale.  A change is in order.  I think he showed up at the right time to get the talent over the hump.  But its not working anymore.

When will a UND coach actually progress (get better) as the seasons and years go on?

Hak and Berry both peaked first year.

Never building a program to match their first year, partially relying on teams others had built.

When you ignore those years they have a near 20 years combined, with zero Frozen Four wins.

Program certainly needs some new blood to reignite the fire.

Hak did fine, no idea why you’re including him.

Not sure what you're missing.

He also peaked his first year (in part cause of others).

Be great for UND to get a coach who can actually build a program!

He did. We were a blue chip factory that was there at the end every year. What I witnessed tonight was the rock bottom into total mediocrity. The two programs couldn’t be further apart.
