UND Football Fan Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Went from anemic play by this team, to seniors and older players making plays on offense and wanting to win. The players could have folded and they did not. Defense we could not get pressure and that made the 4th quarter sucky. And Defense looked like not to lose mentality instead of you we messed up but we are going to kick your rear next time. 3rd down sack in OT was huge. Fade in overtime official missed their defender grabbing Bo’s hand (that’s what it looked like) making it a one handed effort catch. Watching Tommy in the 4th reminded me of his play against YSU last year. Hopefully our RB situation improves. Don’t know much about next opponent but our interior line need to get better push against 300lb tackles. As others say we may need to take more chances on intermediate or deeper routes to open up the run and bubble/tunnel screen game. Lastly great seeing a clutch FG, these players showed the effort, now bring that energy and feed off each other and win next week. 1 Quote

I'd rather risk Tommy throwing a pick 15 yards over the middle of the field than 22 1 yard pass plays. Been tied up with family activities and didn’t watch either game until the last 4 minutes of this one. I can be canned and fan card taken away….. it was funny my dad texted me after the winning TD in overtime how pissed he was that we lost to a 0-7 team after whooping the Bison. I told home he missed the last 45 seconds. He didn’t believe me that UND came back to win! 4 Quote

I got chastised for saying this a year ago…my beliefs haven’t changed (and neither has the product on the field), but I’m guessing Ira and the good ole boys will get after me for saying that… This program is better than what it’s shown the last two weeks. It’s squandered a metric ton of goodwill from Oct. 14th…I’m not saying anything more…I’m just really disappointed in our response to a program defining win… It’s hard to even think playoffs when we play like this. Thank god we won I guess or it would have gotten really ugly…and the kids don’t deserve that. 4 Quote

I don’t want bandwagon fans anyways, they eventually jump off the bus. 6-5 and 7-4 seasons and missing the playoffs is what I want to avoid. UND will have fans if it keeps winning, simple as that.
