Here comes the purple cows.

Normally I’m focused on UND, but I think this week will be a really interesting tell for Mankato’s season. I expected it to be a dumpster fire after the offseason exodus, but sweeping St. Cloud and being swept by a likely pretty good UMass team isn’t too bad of a start. Of course, St. Cloud is looking so far like they may be pretty bad, definitely the outlier dragging down the NCHC’s OOC record. Have to think it would be pretty huge for the Purple Cows confidence to have a good showing.

I’m actually rooting for Mankato to find success this year after how Hastings handled things…just not this weekend. Sweep!

Maybe @Wilbur just wants everybody to have fun, but these are two non-conference games that will have PWR implications come March.

As @Goon likes to say: Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable.

Yep, 100 percent; "anything less than a sweep is unacceptable."

An old WCHA foe comes calling.  They just got swept by UMASS, we split with the rightful #1 team.

Thoughts?  @Goon wants a sweep, I just want everyone to have fun.

Hedquist on Saturday after we win 5-1 on Friday?  Ja?

@Wilbur I agree with you; everyone please have fun and enjoy the season.

The only acceptable purple cow:

Jorgenson's Meats is right there also ... the double smoked bacon is "pork crack".

And another 10 miles down the road is the home of Buzz and Prince Johnson, UND hockey players in first days of the program.

Why wouldn't you?

I would if it was a fan tradition, home or away.   It was a real question, btw.  I saw MSU play at the Ralph many years ago, and I don't remember bells, but they may have used them.   I do remember Ole'   It might have been a tie game.

There are a few that have them, but not many. I've always thought it would be awesome to have a stadium full of  cowbell ringing at once.  I can only imagine how annoying it would be.

Welcome to Omaha...
