Sigh....The Vikings.....

The Vikings are 1-3 in their last 4 games.  Losses to Denver, Chicago, and Cincinnati. Only win was the exciting 3-0 win over the Raiders. They also have losses to SF (6-7) and the Chargers (5-9). Certainly does not scream playoff team. I would play Hall and see how he does. Dobbs and Mullens are career backs for a reason and their judgment is terrible. The Vikings are going nowhere this season so let’s see what Hall can do. If they lose the next three they’ll get a better draft pick. Hall looked ok in his one brief start before the concussion. Don’t really see any realistic downside to playing him.

The Vikings lost 3 games with a late lead: Broncos, Bears, and Bengals. All losses suffered from playing scared with the lead and/or poor decision-making in crunch time

Scared.  Conservative.  Inept.  Add on a descriptive word for O’Connell.

Extremely poor judgement by O’Connell to play Mullens. Mullens has a history of turnovers, not likely to change at this point. I fully expected another turnover by him on the final drive and he came through with the poor judgement we have come to expect. You can’t win in the NFL when you turn the ball over like he does. You have to play Hall at QB, he may not be any better but we know what we’re getting with these career backups.

The biggest mistake they could make is winning either of these last two games.  Let Green Bay extend their hope for a week and then the last week in Detroit you need your backups to lose to Detroit's backups.

No heads will roll, Flores likely gets a head coaching job and we say goodbye to Josh Dobbs as well.

This goes back to what has cost the Vikings the year.  Back at Lambo, whenever that was, you have a lead late in the game and you should be running the ball, instead you drop your guy back to pass and he snaps his achilles because of absurd play calling, and that's the year.  That hasn't been the only time the play calling has been awful.

Start Jaren next week, make a fake injury designation for JJ, and finish 7-10 and get a decent pick.

Might be time to let someone else call plays and KOC just calls himself the head coach.

Hey, classic Vikings management: Don't take your early round draft picks for a (potentially) franchise QB. Nope, draft some great support players, the best of which will want to leave when they realize they don't have a franchise QB, and their market value is dropping. Hire a has-been QB, rinse and repeat.

This "competitive rebuild" nonsense needs to be flushed. This team needs to be stripped of all but the most essential pieces and rebuilt along whatever philosophical lines the Wilfs and the front office decide on. As of now, I haven't been able to figure out what that is.
