rochsioux Posted December 16, 2023 Share Posted December 16, 2023 The Vikings are 1-3 in their last 4 games. Losses to Denver, Chicago, and Cincinnati. Only win was the exciting 3-0 win over the Raiders. They also have losses to SF (6-7) and the Chargers (5-9). Certainly does not scream playoff team. I would play Hall and see how he does. Dobbs and Mullens are career backs for a reason and their judgment is terrible. The Vikings are going nowhere this season so let’s see what Hall can do. If they lose the next three they’ll get a better draft pick. Hall looked ok in his one brief start before the concussion. rochsioux Posted December 24, 2023 Share Posted December 24, 2023 Extremely poor judgement by O’Connell to play Mullens. Mullens has a history of turnovers, not likely to change at this point. I fully expected another turnover by him on the final drive and he came through with the poor judgement we have come to expect. You can’t win in the NFL when you turn the ball over like he does. Let Green Bay extend their hope for a week and then the last week in Detroit you need your backups to lose to Detroit's backups. Back at Lambo, whenever that was, you have a lead late in the game and you should be running the ball, instead you drop your guy back to pass and he snaps his achilles because of absurd play calling, and that's the year. That hasn't been the only time the play calling has been awful. Start Jaren next week, make a fake injury designation for JJ, and finish 7-10 and get a decent pick. Nope, draft some great support players, the best of which will want to leave when they realize they don't have a franchise QB, and their market value is dropping. This team needs to be stripped of all but the most essential pieces and rebuilt along whatever philosophical lines the Wilfs and the front office decide on.
