Glad to get out of this weekend with a split. Was really worried the Gophers would put up some big numbers against UND but DeRidder responded well and the defensive coverage was much better than it had been the first couple weeks. 

Man that Minnesota team is so so deep and it is scary to think how good they can be in a few months, but as we know well the best team doesn't always win the championship.

What an insane weekend of hockey. At the end of the day, we got outplayed for big chunks, but we were 1:24 short of sweeping the No. 1 team in the country on their home ice. Battle tested, boys and girls. Battle tested.

Yep, as predicted, lots of pissed off gopher fans. Summary of the comments on GPL: The usual petty barbs thrown our way (but we do it too), blaming the refs for many so-called “missed interference calls” that they say didn’t get called against us, pissed at Motzko for starting his back up goalie tonight, UND gooned it up but we didn’t get called, etc., etc.

A few critical comments of Pitlick tossing his twig into the stands but for the most part pretty quiet on that front as that sort of behavior among the primadonna  gopher players is commonplace-and accepted-by their fanbase.

GPL fans claiming UND got away with a facemasking of our own on that scrum and how Motzko should’ve also challenged for a review.  I didn’t get to watch the game so I can’t opine on this accusation, just repeating what some on GPL are saying.
