Albany Regional - UND/MSUM/ND/Harvard

Announcers saying that Harvard coach maintained that his player did not cover the puck in the paint, but swiped it out with his hand and therefore it was a legal play. Anybody know the rule?  I agree that he swiped it out and didn’t seem to cover it.

We shall see how long this one lasts. Doesn't bode well for this evening though if YouTube keeps detecting and blocking. 

Maybe don't title/label it truthfully? Just a thought. Thanks as always.

I would have to look up the NCHC rule, but I am sure it is nearly the same as HS/USA rules. Where if the hand covers or goes over top of the puck, even if to swipe out, it is a penalty shot if in the crease. More often to see guys do it to shove under their goalie, but it doesn't matter if it is a split second it is supposed to be a PS.

That thought did cross my mind as well! Kept telling myself I could just change the title to make it more accurate post-stream. I’ll do that for that UND game this evening. :lol:
