St. Cloud announcers discussing about how nice it was that they brought back these beauty retro jerseys.  Off course they were also saying that our number one ranking doesn’t mean much because they lead the league.Then after Michigan beats St. Cloud, Jim Rich adds that they took game one between the powerhouses.

Why do we care so much about lowly St Cloud?  It comes across as very insecure that there is so much conversation about them.  It'd be like an Alabama Crimson Tide forum ranting and raving about all the happenings of SEC rival Vanderbilt.

Here are my questions for the jersey experts.

Were the Gemini jerseys just used for one season? Other than obviously the manufacturer and swoosh, what were the style or color differences between the Gemini’s and the Nike’s that followed for the next handful of seasons?

Geminis where approximately 1995-1996 through 2001-2002.  95-96 was first year with the geometric logo. In 96-97, the ND shoulder patches were added and the same design used until 2000-2001. I believe Gemini did the first jersey with the Brien logo when new Engelstad opened in 2001.  Nike took over the following season, 2002-2003, but I don’t think there was really any difference between the two.

Colten St Claire and add the “A”. Although he technically did not play a game in a Sioux jersey, he was a redshirt member of the 2011-2012 team, which kind of makes him the final player at UND to have worn a Sioux jersey.  I’m guessing there’s a team photo of him wearing it something.

Is the teams contract up with Adidas? I would love to see a new design! Does anyone know who they are going with? What are your ideas for a jersey? Should they keep them the same?

Yes the school wide contract is over after this school year. I am assuming that the school has been in talks to outfit all our programs. I hope they go with Nike as they are one of the only ones that could outfit our whole athletic department, however they could go with Under Armour but I hope not.

They posted an rfp for this and they gave the bidders an option to give an offer for hockey jerseys as well, separately.  Results of the rfp scoring were posted on the rfp website and it should be addidas again, but ccm for hockey.  There was an addidas offer for hockey as well, but it didn't score as high as ccm.

New Balance and Under Armour were the other options I believe.  Don't recall seeing a Nike bid.  

I think the Addidas bid was from Game One, rather than Addidas itself.

I doubt adidas is going to be the jersey supplier for und. New Balance doesn’t make the jerseys, they just put their logo on it (sp makes them). CCM wouldn’t be so bad but I’d imagine that the company who wins it will want all sports or nothing, as I can’t see them letting the biggest sport on campus go with someone else.
 

I hope to god under armour doesn’t win.

So far two (James & Johnson) hockey players have signed up for the nil program, and more are expected to join. So now you can add current players names on all jerseys, replica or authentic, heat pressed or sewn.

What’s the longest period @ UND before a new jersey design was released? Gotta be getting close.

 Fire up the design templates. Our current jerseys are outdated.

Agree, but change may bring forth more alignment to Athletics regarding wordmarks and logos and that may trigger a kerfuffle.
