BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted October 28, 2020 Share Posted October 28, 2020 A Manhattan federal court judge ruled today that the Department of Justice cannot intervene on behalf of T in a defamation lawsuit brought by Jean Carroll (magazine columnist) who has accused T of rape. This means Carroll’s lawsuit can move forward against T. The Justice Department can not step in on T’s behalf, where the case would have likely ended as the federal government cannot be sued for defamation.
