So where are your athletes getting there supplements?  Does the school supply them? Are there representatives from these companies on campus? Do the athletes buy them themselves?Who monitors these activities?

The reason I ask is its already been stated here that UND athletes take supplements and its in every locker room in the country.

The illegal ones don’t come from our coaching staff.  Can you confidently say the same??

You know they don't test for street drugs or stimulants, while they do test for other drugs, during the season right?

Those begin during the playoffs.

Why are they tested separately? They don't see them as "performance enhancing."

Thus, the NCAA gives out less suspension for "street drugs."

Cocaine and Caffeine are classified the same to the NCAA.

What does any of the above have to do with the fact that you specifically stated that a player wouldn’t get a year suspension for caffiene and then I posted a direct quote from the ncaa website that says that in fact you can and do get suspended for a year for caffiene?

Maybe email Matt Larson and ask him if you want answers?

Your a big boy. You can go find it. It's not hard. Just a little intelligence will lead you there. Nevermind, you'll probably never find it.

He didn't test positive for caffeine. They don't give out a year suspension for stimulants  (caffeine).

A guy paid for by NDSU gave Performance enhancing substance that was widely used throughout the locker room.

The NCAA per their rules/regulations.  When it comes to this that is all that matters.

So your athletes dont take supplements with caffeine in them? Yeah ok.

The NCAA easily reduces suspensions all the time for things like these.

Right on the NCAA appeals page, "All you have to show is Robbins asked if the product contained a banned substance (cause the label said it didn't) and staffers said "No."

That would likely be enough to overturn it.

But in this case it was so cut and dry the NCAA had to say "Nope."

Either NDSU has been slandered or is lying.

After seeing the polar opposites presented by the Robbins and Larson I believe any investigative effort should come from outside NDSU.

Its the only way to ensure a complete and unbiased fact finding.

Again you have no clue what you are talking about.

So the turds won’t believe the Robbins family when they are quoted, but now all of a sudden they fully believe the stimulant in question is caffeine, despite zero reports stating it was caffeine.

And we are the ones jumping to conclusions. :whistling::whistling:

A lot more than you do.

Unfortunately for NDSU, they can't use that appeal material right on the NCAA website, because it would have had to admit to administering the substance by someone NDSU hired.

So you’re contending the Robbins family goes public to stick up for their son, but wouldn’t bother to mention, oh by the way, it was caffeine?

lol

I agree. Stay off the stuff.

But do we really know that that was the supplement that was the issue?  Would 5hour energy pass the test?  Still too many unknowns and no specific facts.

No five hour would not pass the test. These kids are warned about caffeine though.

NDSU AD Larson seems to be watching his words very carefully. To me that's a sign of someone who knows they need to stay on a very narrow path (and there be landmines outside it). But that's also called living in NCAA-land. So it's not surprising.

It's curious that the Robbins' haven't said what the substance in question is. Honestly, if it was caffeine (we don't know) they'd get a level of pity and disbelief from the casual observer. If it's not, well, I guess I wouldn't expect them (Robbins') to admit to what it was until they could use that information to show the validity of the rest of their claims.

Finally, McFeely did a favor to NDSU. He inferred it was "5 Hour Energy" in question. That's going for the disbelief and pity. However, we don't know what the substance at issue is. So Mike should've stayed out of the speculative game. Or stated what the substance in question is (if he knows).

But after all that it comes down to this:
A very good NDSU FB player lost a senior year to a failed post game test. The player's (NDSU Athletics HOF mother) says it was a "trusted staff member" that gave the substance that caused the failed test. NDSU claims otherwise. Someone is being less than forthright and it's not a good look for NDSU either way.

And we're yet to find anyone ready to step up and do a full discovery of the facts. We're getting whispers (Ben Newman, supplements), but not the truth and facts. Rumors and innuendo will fill the void until the truth is known.
