Not disagreeing, but theres only what 3-7 first round draft choices from season to season. So, you have to get the players that can fit a system. This team doesn't have it.

Sure but we used to have 12-13 draft picks  on outlets team in the mid to late 2000s.  Now we have like 5-6?

You have to have role players on your hockey team. The Gophers and Terriers are a perfect example of this.

You do but skilled guys can be role players too and some guys that you have higher expectations for will inevitably fail to meet them and have to become role players. At the least we have Bowen, Yon, Smith, Hoff, Janatuinen, Keane, Senden, and Johnson are all role guys. That is 8 of our 15 forwards and is way too many.

Nothing to me is more frustrating then the you need role players argument. There are players that are talented, but are also responsible (see Gardner / Jones). Those should be your role players.

Since you're on a roll,  who would cut off this team. Do you send Hoff packing, thanks for playing good bye. Does Zach Yon gets his walking papers. Dixon Bown, you're out of here. You still have to replace them with someone.

All of those players were highly regarded out of juniors. Do you just start cutting players and bringing in recruits at the halfway point? You have to have players that check and kill penalties. That proven fact. All the NHL team have role players.

Johnson and hoff aren’t role players they’re dead weight drag-players

Yes, the Junior Class isn't good. This season's freshman class was highly regarded. The next two classes are as well.

This years freshman class had a great goalie and two stud defenseman, so yes on highly touted part. The problem hasn’t been defensively this year or last. When you break down the forwards group you have Weatherby (good recruit), Hain (high end role player), Senden ( role player), Keane (role player). You just can’t have 1/2 Forward recruits who at best are solid 4th line guys.

Yes, Hoff can go.

Meh on Yon, what has he done.

On Bowen, you keep  him because he brother is doing well.

Goon you dont havento keep kissing Hawk butt to keep ur press pass....

Yes. You can cut those players. At the end if season for most... could and should have dumped JJ and hoff yesterday.

If they dont produce, they dont give effort, they dont get to here. Period.

Oh, I beg to differ.  We have had some tragic defending (more last year than this, but still sad).  What we need is some offensive firepower to fire up the team and the fans, and put a little jump in the player's skates.
