Isaac kept 23 out of 23 signees - Chaves won't spend up.  Done deal!  I'm ok with it

I think part of keeping all 23 is recruits know there will likely  be a lot of FBS guys looking for a home so probably wise to stick with the offer they had. Nonetheless still a great job by the staff and impressive that we didn't lose any.

With the right coach and the way the portal might be this year we could turn this around quickly.  I was going to somewhat mentally check out of UND football this off season, but now with the HC change I'm excited again! Hopefully we nail this!

The recruits were more likely to sign here and follow through with it after hearing there was going to be a new head coach… plenty of excitement with the unknown. For decades UND has settled coaching vacancies internally or with heavy connections, would be nice to see them not do that for once. Remember … inbreeding?

6-10 on defense alone.

How many spots will we have available to add? We will probably want a few guys to hit the portal to free up some spots.

We may have less big names hit the portal than we would have for this exact same reason. Definitely hope Seidl stays. He could be deadly as the starter.

Fruechte is our guy

Chavez knows it. Just pretending to be thoro with the tail numbas

So tail numbas was a ploy by Chavez to throw us investigative rubes off. That Chavez is thoro and sly.

I only doubt this cuz he doesn’t meet minimum quals set in posting unless he really does have 8 years full time coaching experience.

Is strange they’d set it beyond his experience if he was being considered

Let me get this straight.  We are excited we kept the 23 recruits that were recruited by the previous coach that everyone wanted gone ? I think UND needs to stay away from any part of that and look for some fresh new blood.  Let a new coach come in and get his own recruits. The transfer portal this year is going to have alot of options.

Joe Woodley

Now why would Kelly know that name.

Comes down to list of applicants …

If you have one (or several) proven winners as a head coach (Caruso, Woodley, Bolte, Hoffner; heck even Baldwin) in your applicant pool, can you really in good faith turn them down for an unproven coach (never before a head coach) in Fruechte, who over the past 2 seasons (1 UND, 1 Winona State) has been associated with a losing season each time ??

I’d be really really cautious with this momentum he’s gaining due to signing day, it seems unwarranted…

If the “inbreeding” has the confidence and swagger of a Dale Lennon as a head coach I have zero problems with it.

I guess the question I am asking in an interview is how are you building your staff.

Annoyed how this tweet is framed. Dumb people will read it as if he somehow turned the job down.

That resume should have went right in the round file

Random new head coach is better than the 11 year HC.  Sadly, this may be right.
