Had one for 12. We should target him 5 times a game not counting the sweeps.

Better ask him to take off the oven mits he usually wore when I watched him a bit in fall camp.  Maybe he's improved since then  but the emphasis on sweeps tells me probably not.

CBs have been fantastic this year.  Evan should be considered for all American. Playing good ball.  Blubaugh was draped all over his guy yesterday as well.  Because of their play Schmitty is able to let loose up front.

Blubaugh is so much better than last year. His tackling is a breath of fresh air after watching Dieion “hit” guys.

Anyone pay attention to how Seigel looked? I believe he got burned once but besides that. Was his first action this year correct?

It was. I was trying to watch him out there but it was tough to get a feel for anything at that point.

I thought he looked OK. That first one where Akem caught it off the top of his helmet was damn flukey.  Seigel was with him stride for stride. Albeit limited action, I've certainly seen young freshmen look much worse than he did, and have even seen senior CBs in the past look much worse (e.g. escorting opposing WRs into the end zone).  Still the sample size is much too small for me at this point.

The team shouldn’t look ahead, but fans do.

Of the remaining games, UND should be big favorites over Sac St, Portland St, Idaho and NAU.  All those teams can spring an upset though.

Weber St at the Alerus looks to be the biggest matchup.

Win against Weber and the others will mean a first round bye.

I know it’s not your style, but for Gods sake, keep your dick in your pants.

The fact that he’s going to most likely redshirt is huge. It’s about time we get to develop our young DBs instead of being forced to throw them to the wolves before they’re ready.

No he wasn’t. Watch the play. He ran right behind the defenders back. He made it too easy on to defend. Should have been an easy TD.

This is sure what it looked like to me. I was standing on the catwalk above that corner of the EZ and Brady ran a really flat route that had him too close to the defender who didn’t know he was there. Easy play for the defender.

Griz coach Bobby Hauck: “"We're a really average football team," said Hauck. "We've been good enough to win four and two of those (losses) we've been maybe one play away (from winning), but I don't think there is any sugarcoating the fact we're pretty dang average.”

Just what players want from their head coach, even if it is true. Geez. Is this the insult them into playing better strategy? Genius!

I think he is the most improved player on defense.  Very pleased with his performance.

I agree, what a difference a year makes.  Just really hard to be a true freshman to come in and play corner, when some of these guys may have played offense of other positions in HS.  I recall UNDColorado last year saying Bluebaugh would be good, I had a hard time seeing it for sure....even though he was young and raw.... because he was often getting torched and all turned around.  He looks good this year.  I think Seigal played WR in HS (but not 100% sure), the fact that he was right with the guy is a good sign.  He will certainly make strides by next year, nice to see him get in and get some game action this year.

This.  Starting to build depth at corner.  Having Holm and Blubaugh back next year is going to be a really solid tandem.

Last season I said Blubaugh had a lot of upside and someone jumped all over me. I cant remember who it was but they were wrong. Kid is going to be good.

He’s got some dog in him which I love. Hopefully he continues to progress.

There were many who questioned Blubaugh's ability last year, but I believe there were 2 posters who straight up said he didn't belong in DI football. One of those is always rosy here so you can probably guess.

Looks like you and @AJS were Blubaugh's bigger defenders.

Holm is playing at an All American level.

We might want to recruit more rugby players after Evan ripped the ball out of the receivers hand.  That reminded me of Mooney against the cow college.

That play and Maag’s catch were simply fantastic.

Siegel's failure to turn his head on the plays was reminiscent of Blubaugh last year. Ran with the WR but didn't swivel the head at the right time.

Agree I was thinking the same thing.  With the new red shirt rule, Siegel will be way ahead with this limited game experience.
