sprig Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Dulin was moved to cb, but didn't get much practice since he broke his ankle in spring ball Quote

Most were not practicing in the fall leading up to the season. Then they moved Santiago from WR to RB. Man what a surprise to watch John run Wyoming into the ground. With that said what Freshman is going to step up to play CB, the nickel dime and specialty teams. Opportunity to shine. UND is looking for a Championship and Deion will be cheering and coaching from the sidelines this season. At least that is what it appears. This question seems to come up from time to time. I believe you are correct, no medical redshirt needed. You get 5 years to play four. If Harris was poised to come back next year and the injury prevented him from it, I believe he could then apply for a medical redshirt since the injury extended into a second season. Quote
siouxfan512 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Was already asked, but does anyone know if it is too late to add an FBS drop down? We have quite a bit of talent back there, but it would be nice to have some experience and leadership at corner too. Thought? Quote
Longtime fan Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Torrey will need to fill Deion's shoes as the pick 6 guru I'm guessing two deep will look like this: if tyus is good to go he will be the starter opposite of Torrey. Evan and blubuagh behind them. Quote
UNDMOORHEAD Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Thoughts and prayers with Deion right now. I'm sure he was feeling really good about the upcoming year and beyond. I hope for him to be able to recover 100% and still be able to chase his dreams. 3 Quote
UNDBIZ Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 The free safety spot also becomes much more critical now. No room for error anymore. Quote

shep Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 In the spirit of Santiago moving from WR to RB how about Flash Gordon going from RB to CB? Just curious. Quote

I'd vote that one down. I truly think that Gordon is a gifted ball carrier. Just get the recruits who were recruited for CB in and get them ready. Not trying to pick a fight. I really think Gordon is a good RB . . . and the trending format now is tall CB's. Gordon is a bit vertically challenged. 1 Quote
shep Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I understand. I think he could be special as an RB but there's only so many reps. Quote
77iceman Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 #22 and #5 will both graduate in the same year. By the time Gordon gets to his senior year . . . eyes will be on UND RB's. He'll be in a good spot. And let's be honest, the "next man up" scenarios arise quite often. Quote
shep Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Ya...true for EVERY position and that's why this team is the best in years. Lots of depth. Quote
TBR Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Gordon will be needed at RB and will see his share of playing time. Guaranteed. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 This injury would have been more devastating a couple of years ago when we were thin at so many positions. Now, we are better positioned to compensate for it. Still feel bad for the kid; he was on track to be drafted in an early round. Quote

Pray for a full recovery and he still has a great shot at the league if he comes back strong in 18. He seems like a fighter so I am optimistic. 2 Quote
UNDColorado Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I think I am starting to dislike Montana fans more than NDSU at this point. 3 Quote
TBR Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 So does missing the "17 season make him ineligible for the NFL draft taking place next Spring? Quote
TBR Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 We just need to pound the Griz into the ground this year. 2 Quote

He'd still be eligible but very unlikely to be drafted coming off an injury like that. Scouts will want to see game action to show he hasn't lost a step when/if he comes back. Quote

I replied to him on a comment last night using Nate Little Man, but I like your Nate Little Boy better.....I think I'll use that one in the future should I reply to him again. I was going to say Nate Little D*ck but figured that might get me in trouble or banned from the page lol. 2 Quote
