Running into the kicker......

Will Go down as the worst penalty in UND football history.

And rightfully so. If someone on here, anyone, can put forth a defensible position as to why the pressure was put on for that play, I will listen to just about anything.

I say it was unforgivable, and indefensible, but I'm open to persuasion.

This game just frustrated the crap out of me. How do you go from looking lights out to pissing yourself the rest of the game? Had we stayed the course and not tried to get cute with the offense in the second half, we win. Santiago didn't have it. Oliviera did. To put Santiago out there the last offensive possession was incredibly stupid.

In the end UND did what many opposing teams have done, abandoned plays that were successful early. Santiago was 2nd best back all night, but Oliviera got nothing 4th quarter. More drops by our normally good receivers than they've had all season. All in all, a really tough way to go down.

Very disappointing loss. Offense was inept and the defense couldn't stop anything in the 2nd half. We didn't deserve to win.

Game over 24-7 seconds left in third ... we have ball at 50 yard line....run time off in fourth... at worst 24-7 pin them deep... but hell no run into punter...  don't the coaches tell the kids to block the return we didn't need to rush punter... tough on the kid but coach him for god sake

Hope whoever ran into the kicker feels like crap, because now we all do....that completely turned the game. If he doesn't do that we likely win.

In all fairness,  the bad spot and replay official blew the play before.  Should have been a 1st down anyways

But either way impressed with the team

Seriously  did Oliveira get hurt? why didn't he get the ball at all late? I just don't understand why I run first team was passing (ineffectively) with the lead.

These are my thoughts as to how this one got thrown away.

Goes down with 2009 hockey loss to UNH and 0.6 as most brutal losses as fan.  and like the UNH loss seemed like it came from playing not to lose.  Painful lesson to take into next season.  wouldnt mind learning from a win once in a while.

They whole organization better figure it out in the offseason. much tougher schedule next season and if we can't figure out how to play a full game, we'll be the NAU of next season.

Glad we made the playoffs, but to finish it like that is so unacceptable. I'm just at a loss right now. it hurts.

I really hope they reevaluate Rudolph as OC. Too many points this season where playcalling was terrible. Yes, we won a lot of games, but you don't give an OC a pass on 70% terrible playcalling and 30% brilliant. Those numbers don't mesh.

Special teams lost this game.  Need some work on that end, as it was never a strong point this season.  Also, couldn't stop the Richmond running game in the 4th qrtr.

But a special season as Big Sky champs.  Next season should be exceptional with the players returning.

You guys have a great team, tough that either team had to lose tonight.  Hard fought game, this will be a great learning experience for your young team.  Good luck next season.

I feel the same way I did about the 0.6 just speechless

Blame the blocked punt, the running into the kicker, the play calling. What really killed us was the play of our secondary and giving up big playes. From the long TD pass in the first half to the late bomb in the 4th that set up the game winning FG. You can't give up those type of plays in the playoffs. Where was our secondary today?  You can blame the lack luster offense in the second half for the loss. But  plenty of blame rests on the shoulders of our secondary.
