Rebel_Sioux Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 None have been listed yet, but what are the odds that a UND player makes an XFL team? Quote
Fry Bread Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 October 15th and 16th will be the XFL draft. I have heard there are 3 former UND players registered for the draft. Tank Harris, John Santiago, and Austin Cieslak. 2 Quote
Fry Bread Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Looks like 600 players will be vying for 400 spots. Quote
Fry Bread Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Correction. Almost 1000 players for 568 spots Quote

Additional proof the XFL won't exist in 3 years. Hopefully a couple of our guys can use it as a springboard in the meantime though. 1 Quote

TBR Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 No one in the national media has trouble distinguishing Michigan from MSU, Arizona from ASU, Florida from Florida State. I've never understood why differentiating UND from NDSU is such a challenge. 1 Quote

I've never understood why differentiating UND from NDSU is such a challenge. Here in Germany, I went to a game last week with my Sioux jersey on and was asked about the Notre Dame sigh-ux. UND isn't top tier and even with a deep run into the Final Four in basketball still won't be a household name, or barely recognizable. Although, the f'n hawks logo sure stands out among other logos when displayed in a bracket. Quote

I doubt many SEC fans could differentiate South Dakota from South Dakota State either. Quote
TBR Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 It's easy to distinguish USD from SDSU. One has "state" in its name the other does not. Quote

Mama Sue Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 For the National game.... pre-game the announcers discussed NDSU and their trips to the title game. Then someone corrected them.... Quote
iramurphy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 On a sad note, former UND QB and punter, Tom Biolo passed away from a heart attack. Played 1977-1980. Quote

I watched Bio when I was in hs. He was a beast. I’ve often thought that we need a qb like him to help turn this program around. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 17, 2019 Author Posted November 17, 2019 Kenny leads the NFL in TDs so far this year. Could be on his way to a Pro Bowl at the deepest position in the league. Exciting stuff. Quote

choyt3 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Sorry, not a former player, but former UND assistant Tom Dosch has been let go by Northern State University after a head coaching record of 53-57 over ten years at NSU. I would guess he has some football left to coach in him. https://www.inforum.com/sports/football/4780592-Northern-State-fires-head-football-coach Quote
northernraider Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Congratulations to Brady and Blue Bombers on winning the Grey Cup. Hopefully he continues to heal over the off season. 1 1 Quote
