And these are our "partners" in television? With "partners" like this, who needs opponents.

Will they replace this with a Bison football show?

I always enjoyed watching the North Dakota hockey with Hak/Berry!

I figured it had great reviews and big watching audience numbers....maybe not???

Probably makes sense to wait and see what the plan and or/reasoning is before jumping all over the company that pays UND to air their games.

KVLY holds NDSU's football rights so no.

Does KVLY's contract explicitly prohibit any other media company from having an NDSU coaches show? That is a good question to ask someone who knows.

And I will jump all over Midco if needed. We signed a contract with them to give our programs coverage, so if they are canceling one of our coaches shows, I would like to hear the rationale. Nobody forced them to sign a contract that requires them to pay UND for coverage.

Midco Sports is replacing the weekly UND coaches show with a daily hour long regional sports show that will cover all sports/ all universities in the region.  Think Sportscenter ...

UND signed a contract with Midco to air live broadcasts.  Midco will continue to do that.

What are the ratings for Midco non-live sporting event programming? Do any of their non-live programs get good ratings?

No, they don't get good ratings.

Ish...so they are using UND's high following to try pickup the rating numbers for the rest?

People ridiculously overestimate the number of people who watch non-live events.  The UND hockey show does not have a high following or good ratings, otherwise it would still be a show.

Yes, KVLY has exclusive rights to NDSU football.

The language from the renewal agreement release states that UND Sports Extra along with the North Dakota hockey show would continue, along with the addition of a weekly football show in 2018, so let's maybe pump the brakes until we know exactly what is going on.

You're right though, no one forced them to sign a contract nor were they forced to pay UND over $1.4 million for the rights, but I think we should all be pretty happy they did. Remember, they are paying to provide coverage, they aren't going to do something they think will significantly hurt the brand since they are kind of relying on the success of it to make money.

Yes because that was built into their contract since Midco does not have a department-wide contract with NDSU.  At the time, it was more for Midco's benefit so NDSU couldn't go do a show with KVLY.

UND athletic dept agreed to get rid of weekly coaches show and go with the daily regional show, the Bison did not agree to it. It's a done deal.  Like others have mentioned on here, I don't think viewership was all that great.

Not und sports viewing options but an option for those that still have a ku fta system in place to watch

Conor mcgregor vs Floyd mayweather tonight.......

just scan 93w for azteca.

As a loyal UND telecast viewer, this is tough news to hear.

Some traditions need to remain.  For example, what is a world without North Dakota Eye Clinic?  And their half century of eye care excellence?

I have been using Pluto TV and Roku for both FBall and VBall.  Does anyone else have a problem with the pixilating with that combo?  The V Ball seems worse than F Ball.
