Wilbur Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 If Duran is hurt and Pagan came in to blow this it'd be the most Minnesota thing ever.... 1 Quote
SiouxScore Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Everyone talks about the heat from Duran but man his breaking ball is nasty. Quote

SiouxScore Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Would think Ryan pitches game 1 Saturday question is do you bring Lopez back for game 2 Sunday or use Ober/Maeda and let Lopez pitch game 3. Think I'd go Ober for game 2 and keep Maeda out of the pen. 2 Quote
Wilbur Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I think I'd start Ryan on a short leash in Houston with Kenta your long guy just in case. 2 Quote

That's the best move I feel. Then you can piggy back Ober with Paddick if needed. Question now will be: Buxton on the roster for the ALDS? Quote

Siouxperman8 Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Was at the game today. Great atmosphere but pretty stressful for an old guy. Lots of fun. 3 Quote

Green Banner Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Michael A Taylor was a great off season pickup. He has been so valuable this season Quote

Read that Correa told Gray that the Toronto runners couldn't hear directions from 3rd base coach cuz of crowd noise so figured they could pick someone off. Great play by both of them. Quote

As soon as Sonny went to his hat and peaked back I thought, "did he just give Correa a sign? No way...." Great timing. Multiple 3-2 pitches wasted by Bichette, and the team needed to hold the momentum after taking the 2-0 lead. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Getting picked in scoring position down two ... "professional" ... Quote
Shawn-O Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Schneider pulling Berrios after 3 innings was a head scratcher. I don’t even think it was his call to make, I agree with Michael Kay. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 The pickoff was THE moment in the game. I SCREAMED at the TV when that went down. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Michael Kay being available to ESPN to do a national broadcast for a wild card series is something wonderous also. Berrios was a victim of "the analytics" is what I heard. Quote

Even mentioning that their manager was just itching all game to not let Berrios go deep into the game and get another pitcher in there. Something along the lines of the decision being made in the wee hours of the morning by a guy looking at a spreadsheet. Quote
