Godsmack Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 1-1, in the second period between CC and Duluth. First time at Amsoil Arena, nice place to watch a game. Like the open air concourse. Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 and the buffalo bills would have won two super bowls if scott norwood would have made a field goal and thurman thomas could find his helmet. bottom line is they didn't. So based on the Bills losing four Super Bowls, the AFC East sucked in the 1990's? I wouldn't call the CCHA a 'weak' conference based on two teams losing national championship games in recent memory. MafiaMan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Is it just me or are the NBCSN and Big 10 productions tonite infinitely better than CBSSN? It's like WMU vs Miami is being broadcast on Prairie Public TV... Quote
Godsmack Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 CC's woes continue...After a good first period, they sleep walk through the second. Down 2-1 after two...got out-shot 20-2 that period. Thorimbert is standing on his head for CC. Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Western wins in Oxford for first time in 10 years! Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Controversy in South Bend...Irish goal with 20-some seconds left overturned. I don't know why... Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 maybe this is a confirmation as to just how weak the ccha has been over the years and they just beat up on the weaklings as we all know their tournamnet history when they get there and the nchc isn't filled with ccha cupcakes. Michigan State recent title...Notre Dame recent title game appearance... Quote
Blackheart Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Gofs trail Sconny 1-0 in the 2nd. Big brawl now after McCabe decks Rau... Quote
Blackheart Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Looked like a good check...mccabe gets tossed for contact to head. Gofer player gets 2 mins for roughing after the play. Quote

Godsmack Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 CC and Duluth tied, 2-2. Duluth won the shoot out. Thorimbert for CC made 50 saves, was named player of the game. Quote
Wilbur Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 North Dakota is now at the top of the conference. Wow. Can't believe SCSU got caught this early. Quote
Godsmack Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 A co-worker of mine-and SCSU alum- told me that there are a few key players out due to suspension. He said a few weeks ago that he was throwing in the towel on St. Cloud...I didn't believe him, I thought-and still think-he was sand bagging. Quote

tnt Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Denver wins the shootout. I absolutely hate the shootout. Would rather have other teams blow out other teams with the league race this close. When both teams we are in the running against get points, it just makes it all that more difficult to put distance between ourselves and other teams. Points aren't awarded for just getting to overtime are they? I just keep hoping one team or the other would win outright. 2 Quote

I looked at their box score and I didn't see any of their, who I would consider, key players missing. So if that was the case, I don't think it still is the situation. I think they have other issues. Godsmack Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 What's up with Miami?!?! They've got to be a disappointment to their fans this season. 1 Quote

I agree-I found tonight's shoot out between CC and Duluth anti-climatic and not just because CC lost. I don't like how players come to practically a slow crawl when they shoot. 1 Quote
