UND is about to face a ticked off bunch of Lumberjacks on Saturday! Nice when by UNC tonight. They are going to make a move for the top in the second half of the conference season.

Watching this webcast makes one appreciate the Betty even more. 1 court side camera. Plenty of action missed, but still better than not being able to watch I guess.

I agree. The camera angle sucks but it's better than nothing.

Sorry for the jinx.

As good as any collegiate team is (any sport, save football), it would be hard to run the table for the entire conference season when you play 20 games. At some point, you're just not going to be at your best. Was it a jinx? Maybe. But Northern Arizona is the 3rd best team in the league (maybe better, they already beat UND and PSU), playing in their home gym (at 7,000 ft), on the second game of the weekend. Let's just make sure we pay 'em back when they come to Grand Forks Nov. 21.

I'll add too, that, while a loss on the road to a good team can be expected sometimes, it sure tightened up the conference standings. Room for error is getting smaller if a regular season championship is what we want.

True, but ISU and NAU would more than likely need to win out, and having a "angry" UNC team to deal with alongside us, PSU, and to play against each other isn't ideal. UND or PSU would need to slip up a couple of times and I don't really see that happening. NAU is going to look back at both the UNC and MSU losses at the end of the year and wonder what if.

The good news is that 6 out of the 10 games are at home, with the tough ones being NAU, UNC, SAC. I think we can run the table in the rest of our home schedule. That gets us to 15-1. Weber and EWU will be good road wins as well. The two games that will determine our fate will be @ ISU and @ PSU. We lose both, we not going to win conference. We split, a share for sure and more than likely winning the conference outright depending on who they split. Win both, conference is ours.

17-3 probably ties for the conference. PSU, ISU, and NAU have a few more matches. I think we lose at PSU and probably ISU. Tieing for the championship is good enough to win our first Big Sky title.

The key is to win is PSU during the conference playoffs.
