What would be the difference from taking Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off versus taking Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off? If there is nothing else on TV Monday maybe a larger TV audience. The NHL uses the shootout in regular season play, and the NCHC and NCAA hockey in general are trying to position themselves more and more as a stepping stone to the NHL.
