Sometimes it’s a fine line for a coach trying to build a program and culture to advocate for your players to the officials and allowing your players to use officiating as an excuse.  I would bet that while he advocated for his players last night, he is pointing out that they did themselves no favors by playing in the defensive end basically the whole third period.

9th is out this year, next year we will be 10 teams. I would think that there something different 2026-27 season

I thought 8 vs 9 at the site of the top seed. Not the case?

The Miami game last Saturday the guys calling the games were talking about the hockey alumni were engaging with the program more since Noreen took over.

I didn't think Blasi should have been fired, but Miami did make a good hire to get their team out of only being able to compete with Atlantic Hockey.

Thanks to the non-regulation win last night, we need CC to take at least one point from WMU in addition to us sweeping SCSU to clinch the Penrose outright next weekend. I'd say the odds of that happening are pretty good.

I wouldn’t call a weekend against St. Cloud a gimme. I know we snuck out of clown town with a sweep, but we weren’t the better team for 6 periods. I enjoy watching them struggle to stay at .500 but they are a lot better than what their record shows.

I never said gimme. But I think it's okay for us to expect wins at home against teams below us in the standings. The series at WMU will be much more difficult.

St. Cloud has a lot to play for still as well so it definitely won’t be easy. I think they’re still in the hunt for home ice not to mention fighting to get their NPI up.

I would argue Miami was much tougher to play against than St. Cloud will be. SCSU gave up a lot of goals this weekend. If we play lockdown defense and don't take stupid penalties, I think we get two regulation victories.

Miami is a sweep and a Duluth and St. Cloud split to be tied for 4th
