You may be right,, I thought it hadd been a couple years.  He was pretty miffed at the portal,, i know that.  Would find a diamond in the rough, and a big name team would come in a swoop them up.  That's the reason he finally left, i guess

Go back to the Speed Kills era of Sioux hockey.
No more chipping it off the glass as a breakout strategy.
No more dump and chase as a zone entry strategy.
Let the skill players USE their skill.

You are not exaggerating at all. Listed every accomplishment he had as a coach and everything that went wrong.

Exactly. There is no point in recruiting skilled players if you aren't going to utilize their talents. And I think that might have been hurting us in recruiting in recent years.

Regardless whom the next HC is, time to unite and march forward. A lot of people got their wish today with a change in direction for our beloved hockey program.

I was ready to cancel my season tix if no change was made……..

Get a new coach that utilizes those players and their skillsets and you know the chippah commits will follow.

The game has changed.
WMU/DU last night should’ve made it obvious to anyone paying attention. 

UND must make a quantum leap to catch back up.
This hire must be capable of that leap.

You would have to imagine conversations have been quietly going on for weeks, if not months with potential candidates. With portal opening next Sunday, is it possible a deal already in place with Hakstol? 
 

 Would make a lot of sense in my opinion.
