I find that accurate.

You don't.

It's an opinion that can't be proven.

If wanna argue opinions or semantics of the wording.

You do you.

The quick pivot from "he isn't wrong" to "well it actually can't be proven" is hilarious.

Oh sorry.

I thought when I wrote "I'd venture to guess" right afterwards,

Conveyed that it was my opinion.

I'll try harder going forward.

If Jackson ends up getting the job, it defies all logic that, of all the talented coaches out there & with the rich history that UND has in hockey, that he was the best candidate for the job. Of ALL the possibilities in N. America.

If he has the respect of the players & his words carry weight with them, very curious why he couldn't have asserted himself more (if at all) when the team was lapsing for long stretches in games. If he couldn't light a fire under their asses when they looked like a jv club against Bemidji, RMU & Cornell, it doesn't give me much faith that he can do so now.

I hear you. I turn 51 on May 13th. I recently had my first colonoscopy (everything turned out fine). Time just zooms by the older we get

I miss the days when ncaa tournament runs were more frequent than the regularly scheduled colonoscopies.

The problem is we haven’t and we won’t be getting them. Need to do what Barr has done at Maine. Get guys to believe in one and other and build team chemistry. We have used the portal way too much and it’s showing it’s not working. Too much turn over. Need to start trusting the guys we recruit even if they are on campus maybe a year early, because if they are as good as we think they are they shouldn’t be here long anyway.

I agree we have been using the portal too much and not putting enough emphasis on letting our younger players develop. With that said, I was surprised to hear Western Michigan has 16 new players this year; 10 freshman and 6 from the portal. It isn’t an ideal situation but clearly they’ve made it work.  New or returning; you need a program that the team buys into.

Just got the news Raboin was never interested. If I had to guess he’s waiting for Motzko to be done.

He’s creating a program, I don’t think there’s any way he’d leave Augie at this juncture and crap all over those players

It’s Wednesday morning. Chavez is currently looking at the one resume he’s received on his desk. Going to spend this day instead of preparing for interviews, working on how to spin this disaster.

I for one want to thank Jackson for applying. How embarrassing would it be if not a single coach wanted the job?

Got up today still feeling that Berry's run here needed to end and resigned to the likelihood that Jackson will take over. The only juice over this hire will be in everyone's fridge. If next season is similar to this season UND hockey will be on the cusp of not being a thing to its fanbase. Fan interest during this season was at an all-time low since I got tickets in the late 90s. I, like @franchise posted a few pages back, went to my fewest games this season in decades. Was easier to watch at home and yell...."Mom the meatloaf".

Mods, can we lock this one up and delete it? It’s time for damage control and spin.

I heard the reason nobody was interested in this job was because nobodies resume could match Jax. Didn’t want to waste their time. Was always #1 on my wishlist! Jackson > Barr > Raboin

We got our guy!

Explosive post season bursts ...

PS - Two; neither with sedation. Read up on the sedative they use.

I think it’s a reality check. We aren’t Wisconsin or Minnesota or even the Boston schools who can pull a HC from another school to coach herE. What’s the common denominator

Per source Jack expected a 4 year contract low buyout

UND hockey has become like Notre Dame football.    It isn't viewed highly anymore except amongst it's fan base.

But they still get good candidates and make the ncaa tournament?

Stay hot Chavez! Making the best of the situation. Can’t blame him that nobody wants the job.

What do you think the $ amount would have to be for a guy like Barr or Raboin to even entertain taking this job? 2X the current highest college hockey salary? So like 4X what they are making now.

Still surprises me so many people thought we could just magically drag him away from what he’s building in a great situation. But that was like 3 days and 500 posts ago when I gave my feelings on that matter lol

If he is indeed waiting for Motzko, then I imagine he figures he can wait 3 or 4 years.  I guess we will see.  The problem with that line of thinking is you aren't guaranteed anything, as we have seen that Potulny at one point was thought the heir apparent.  Personally, if I was being realistic and a competitor, I would definitely be going somewhere where I could have a decent chance at a National title.  How many teams from that league have won a title?

Who would have thought the open FB Job would be 100X more coveted than the hockey opening. There’s so little interest I hope Jax doesn’t start second guessing this.
