UND FB desperately needed an infusion of some buzz and juice. Schmidt brought that to the fan base immediately. There's hope in the upcoming FB season. The Schmidt hire moved the needle.

UND hockey, the flagship sport of the U, desperately needs an infusion of some buzz and juice. IMO Jackson won't provide that for a fan base that is tired of mediocrity and has become borderline apathetic. Would a Jackson hire move the needle?

But at the end of the day winning cures all.

Only "finalists" are named after they changed the rule a while back (partially due to the circus that happened when Schweigert was named head football coach).

It's a different conversation about Berry's overall legacy. For the current state of this program and the future, it's absolutely what have you done for me lately.

I actually agree with most of this. Recent results have been nowhere near what investments and expectations are.
Had 2020 been able to play out, probably a different conversation, but it didn't for reasons outside of anyone's controls. A few devastating losses (5OT game comes to mind) and just missing out on the tournament a few others, but doesn't change that they were in that position to begin with.
Still thought he'd have be given his final year to "prove it" for a handful of reasons but also understand that results still are what they are.

My sources tell me that Hak's appearance at Hector this morning was just a smoke screen. He'll skip his connection,  rent a car and drive back to GF with the glasses/mustache bit on. He's our guy!

Same can be said about all of us fans. We are not 100% sure on what the program needs either. We can throw out ideas on who we want but at the end of the day, they are our opinions and nothing else.
