Boston University should be good again next year, especially with Yegorov, Hutson, & Eiserman presumably back & Boisvert coming in. Some solid recruits as well, plus the likely possibility of them adding CHLers too. Michigan on paper looks pretty bad right now, but they're recruiting several high end CHLers to come in for 2025-26. If they can get any or a few of Gavin McKenna, Porter Martone, Ryan Roobroeck, Jack Ivankovic, Henry Mews, Jake O'Brien, as well as other high end Dub & Q guys, they're going to win games on pure talent. Their issue comes down to reliable goaltending & depth. Quote

Their style of counterpunching does not lead to a lot of exciting play and there's no upside in the pairwise even if you win. Yup, agree, drop Bemidji as there’s nothing to gain in the Pairwise if you beat them and everything to lose if you lose to them. This season was a Pairwise ball buster for UND with the loss and a tie. UND must be the Super Bowl for Bemidji cus they sure play us tough (UND just 6 wins in last dozen games vs them). 3 Quote

brianvf Posted yesterday at 03:27 AM Posted yesterday at 03:27 AM Still some good forwards in the portal to fill a couple of the holes...hopefully they can grab a couple more high end CHLers once the season concludes there. They also need to be trying to balance out the forward classes a bit. Right now we only have two SR and zero JR forwards. It'd be nice to add a couple to each of those classes, as we're gonna probably have 5-7 FR forwards next year. Ryan Conmy, so, New Hampshire, 15-18—33 (LAK 6th) Matteo Giampa, so, Canisius, 8-22—30 Tyler Wallace, so, Niagara, 14-12—26 Caidan Gault, jr, Ferris State, 15-10—25 Josh Barnes, jr, AIC, 14-10—24 Evan Werner, so, Michigan, 11-11—22 Tyler Hotson, so, RPI, 6-16—22 Felix Caron, fr, RPI, 6-15—21 Kyle Gaffney, jr, UAF, 6-14—20 Kyler Kovich, jr, Cornell, 5-9—14 Raimonds Vitolins, jr, Miami, 4-10—14 Brendan Ross, so, UAF, 3-11—14 Luc Wilson, jr, Minnesota State, 7-6—13 Max Dukovac, jr, Miami, 5-5—10 Cole Spicer, so, Minnesota Duluth, 5-4—9 (23-24) (BOS 4th) Jack Smith, jr, Minnesota Duluth, 4-5—9 (MTL 4th) Matthew Perkins, so, Minnesota Duluth, 1-4—5 (VAN 4th) 2 Quote

Why would Jackson need to wait until the GM position is filled before he adds any transfers? He already knows who's available in the portal, what's stopping him now from adding any of them himself? Or else Jackson already knows (for the most part) who's coming in next year & a few of these new players are CHLers who are waiting for their seasons to end. Because it's hard for me to imagine that he'd let many possibilities pass him by in the portal just because he's waiting for the GM to come onboard. 1 Quote

And I would guess that Jax and Simmer have already been in contact with quite a few of them. I was more just saying that we need players and 2 coaches still, so knocking one off the list then continuing to move forward with players. Quote

Really interested to see who it is since I follow the O fairly closely & then do a further deep dive 1 Quote

UND needs fast, talented players & not 3/4 of their roster filled with grinders in order to keep up with today's game. Quote

AJS Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I'd move on Spicer and Jack Smith if I was Jackson. Both played center in NCHC. They are going to be as good as it gets for Center via the portal it appears. Pencil those in as your 3rd / 4th line Centers. Bring in two of Schultz, Simpson, O'Neill. One more Portal forward (JR / SR) and one high-end CHL. Note: Of the three O'Neill, Simpson, Schultz, I would start with the one you think is most ready and give them the choice. Then the second and so on. MN / ND guys. There's optics here. If all want to go back, then no worries. 1 Quote

O'Neill is polished in ways that Simpson isn't, but if you want his offensive ceiling to grow, you send him back to junior for another year. Some tough decisions for Jackson and the staff. 1 Quote
