I think we played fine the first two periods, but when the score is tied and your season is on the line and a team who doesn’t need to have the same desperation comes out and dominates you, it doesn’t give you a lot of confidence in the work ethic.
It seems it takes falling behind in a game and the pairwise to get them to start playing with intensity and desperation, and as we have seen, that doesn’t work out too well.

Where was that Jackson Kunz we saw the last 5 minutes all year?

Berry had his reboot season where he turned over the whole defensive unit to change the direction.  You shouldn’t get a second reboot, because at some point the direction change should be away from the current culture.

It’s bizarre some of the lineup decisions, almost like Berry is being paid on the side by our rivals to drive the program into the ground.

Haha, basically.

It's a win-or-go-home scenario last night, & as a HC you dress your favorite locally-grown senior over a guy that's all energy & can disrupt a D with his speed. And on top of this, you love this senior so much that you put him out there on D, in a position he's not natural at, with 5 min to go against a team with one of the highest scoring averages in the NCAA. Not a fan of clichés, but make it make sense.

And am curious if his assistants approve of all these weird line-ups also, or if they just go along with BB for job security. Getting rid of BB is needed, but promoting one of his assistants to HC would not be removing all of the problems that led to this predicament in the first place. A top-to-bottom enema is required.

Open the checkbook & bring in a passionate, forward-thinking coach who's not stuck in 2002. And Chyzyk as a GM sounds sounds great. It would free up a lot of time for the new HC & UND would be on top of every talented kid in NA.

So here the AD & prez find themselves on March 22, standing on a path that forks in two directions. They can either continue walking the same path with BB, the path of mediocrity, or they can go all-out in a new direction. The state of the program rests in their hands.

I believe I said something like this a month ago and a while before that ... but I also called for Smaby as HC.

Being one and done was no surprise to many loyal sioux fans. WM is able to raise their level of play. Right now they just have the right stuff.  Quick question. Is it really a big advantage to und to have numerous future nhl players on our team? Current group of players dont seem to be all in on the concept of team. Wonder if these players really enjoy and have fun playing together? Just seems like somethings missing. Seems like off ice, this current group of players could at times be strangers. Or that some of these players dont even care for eachother. Appears this group needed team glue. Go Sioux!

Does anyone know if BB was interviewed after last night's game? Looking for a good chuckle.

There was a post game press conference but I’m not sure where to find it. UND hasn’t posted it yet.

Here’s what i found on yahoo sports.

"It's tough," UND coach Brad Berry said. "It's a tough moment after that game. I want to thank our team for battling the whole year. I know we went through a little bit of adversity, up and down, but I couldn't be prouder of the way these guys battled tonight and represented the University of North Dakota.

Grand Forks Herald. Coach Berry comments

"It was a low-scoring game," Berry said. "T.J. played outstanding. He gave us another chance to win tonight. He was amazing. We didn't give him enough goal support. It was a 2-1 game. There were two empty-netters, but whatever. At the end of the day, it was a 2-1 game. Usually, the first one to three in this conference wins and we didn't get to three. That was a problem."

If Western wins tonight Fargo could very well be Western and Minnesota State then Minny and Denver.

That would suck to have both NCHC teams in one regional.
Which means that this is what the NCAA committee will do.

Definitely would like to see Smaby and Chyzyk on the bench. I really like the idea of Nick Fohr in the mix. Not sure if he’d be at all interested but he’s someone who is probably an enticing option.

That's what really bugged me!  UND had the extra skater on and do you think the crowd would get off their a**es and start screaming.  UND had homerink advantage in St. Paul - stands full of green and white.  WHERE THE HELL WHERE THEY DURING THE GAME??  Last one at the X - you'd have thought they never would have wanted to sit down.  They got a little loud eventually but then we get within 1 and they're staring at their phones again.  Pathetic...

Huh? I sure hope this is sarcasm.

Coming back here to say I hope you guys find the right coach and get back to the top quickly.

Hoping our team doesn't get bounced in the 1st round like the last time we were a #1 seed.  You all might not have a NC in 10 years, but we haven't been out of the 2nd round.

Congrats to your team on NCHC regular season and playoff titles. THANK YOU for beating Denver on Saturday night. I am so sick and tired of those hideous red uniforms and little Opie Taylor behind the bench.

Good luck going forward. Keep it in the NCHC.

Thanks! I'm going to be honest, it wasn't looking great for a while.... lol.

I was watching with my father law who isn't really a college hockey fan, and he said "you can't lose to that redheaded guy".
