Odd that there’s this kind of animosity between these two teams. CC is taking a stab at trying to be our new biggest rival since our normal rivals have passed us by. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I thought the lines last night we better combos than have been sent out for weeks. OMac at center is a no brain. That line was really good most of the night. Wilkie's game doesn't translate at center in the NCHC. Thought last night might have been his best game in a long time at wing. When Perron comes back he takes Kunz stop. Croal shouldn't be a healthy scratch from here on out. Kunz or Jammer play wing on that line with the other the extra skater when Perron returns moving forward. TJ was good last night. He'll start Friday. With the way the goalies have played I'd put the O/U on DU scoring 5.5 goals Friday. Neither goalies can string two good starts together unfortunately. No 3rd period collapse last night so that's a plus. 2 Quote
burd Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Is it just me, or do UND players still have a habit of gliding into puck battles while opponents do not stop moving their feet? Even when the overall hustle level is good. Gliding in with a one-handed poke check just seems to be a tactic. 4 Quote
Wilbur Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 TJ was good last night, but at this point of the season it's like the old John Madden quote about if you have two QBs you really have none. Neither has been able to build on starts and get on a roll at all. The only way TJ is in the net Saturday in Denver is if he is sensational on Friday and likely steals the game. If he's average UND loses, and we hope Hobie can win in a tough place to win Saturday. 1 Quote
1972 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 So last night when 28 threw a hissy fit after he tripped over the goalies stick, he slams his stick on the ice and proceeds to brow beat the closest ref. No way he shouldn't have been T'd up and sent to the box for a 10 minute misconduct. And then, in the proceeding stoppage, he skates out to have a conversation with the Ref, to again, whine about it. I thought you couldn't chat with the Ref unless you had a letter on your sweater? Quote

Gavyn Thoreson was going to accept the nomination but he got an embellishment penalty on the way there. I’ll see myself out. 2 Quote

Esoteric Posted February 10 Posted February 10 There should be an individual winner and a team winner. Greg Louganis Award for the team and Robbie Bina for the best individual diver. For team awards I nominate CC, Denver, UMD, St Cloud, Miami. A third award could be for the best diving coach - it could be The Lloyd Bridges Award. Quote
