Raiders have home game this week. Jet was available.

If UND can allocate funds for that, then they have the funds to buyout a greedy incompetent head coach.

It was likely next up on the allegiant charter list.

Charter everywhere like a first-class football program but continue to settle for subpar coaching and every other season playoff *appearances* … sounds about right for UND athletics of late.

Some of the comments are over the top.. Bubba doesnt seem like a greedy person.. incompetent maybe.. over his head in FCS sure...  Chaves is the idiot who gave him this contract extension.

I’d say that the University of North Dakota football program in terms of championship expectations is operated like some high school football programs in North Dakota, but that would be an insult to many of those high school programs.

We lack talent but I still think Joel may be in over his head. Youngstown State and Indiana proved that. Two bad offenses scored a lot of points. Also gave up 35 against a terrible Murray State team.

Thought I saw in the NFL this season teams are like 64-5 when scoring 30 or more points. Believe UND has 3 such losses this season.  Yoy.

Firing Joel and keeping bubba would be a UND football kind of thing to do.. putting a bandaid on an amputated limb.

Firing Rudy and expecting better from the offense was reasonable as Bubba doesnt seem all that involved over on that side of the ball regardless of the conspiracy theories...

Firing your 3rd DC and expecting your defense to get better while keeping the mastermind of this crap defense is the definition of insanity.  The defense has had solid games here and there.. but its been terrible season by season for a long time.

I’m not saying it’s right but at a minimum needs to happen.  I won’t believe we pay the buyout until I see it.

He should’ve retired last year.  Everyone knows it. Hard to feel bad for him.
Our AD is too incompetent to tell him that, instead he extends the contract smh

I'd say it's 90% Bubba just let's go of Joel and he can be the scapegoat and Bubba will think he's doing what he did after letting Rudy go and relieve the pressure by doing that.  But this is different, we all know this won't change things for the UND football program.  Bubba is the problem and needs to go.

I'll have a hard time rooting against our players once the game kicks off tomorrow, but another loss will help keep Bubba's seat hotter than hell even when he fires the DC to push blame off on Joel.  As long as Bubba's the HC I want his chair to be on fire, maybe he won't fall asleep during meetings then.  I think Bubba would have the chance to somewhat save face if he retired after this year.  But if he continues another year and we have another year like this, he can look forward to being seen as getting kicked out the door with his tail between his legs and that will be his legacy.

Illinois State is only a 1.5 point favorite.  WUT??

Massey has us as a 3 point favorite, 31-28,  and a 55% chance to win.  Yep, go figure.

I’m hear for the refs jobbing us

So you're saying 2 missed holding calls means ISU will rush for 257 yards instead of 289?
