Mama Sue Posted June 21 Share Posted June 21 Need to check times of other games….a nice drive. there are more law enforcement there than any other football game I have been to. Very safe community. Great stadium. FOOD: absolutely Hickory Park hands down. BBQ and expanded menu plus it is an ice cream parlor too. All the ice cream on the placemats…. The two teams will battle at 2:30 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, Aug. 31 and the game will air on Fox Sports 1. Iowa State will be only the fifth team from the current Big 12 Conference to be featured on a North Dakota schedule. Most recently, the Fighting Hawks visited the Utes of Utah on Aug. 31, 2017, and fell 37-16. UND has also played Arizona State (1940), TCU (1933) and Texas Tech (2009), all of which are members of the Big 12 Conference in 2024. The Aug. 31 game will be the 2024 season opener for both teams and the first-ever meeting between North Dakota and Iowa State. UND will also be featured in a pair of road contests announced as MVFC "Game of the Week" selections on ESPN+, the conference announced on Thursday afternoon. North Dakota at Indiana State on Nov. 2 will be the first game that airs on ESPN+ as a Game of the Week for UND, before the Hawks will also be featured on Nov. 23 in the regular season finale at Illinois State. Trusting he will start the best option for the team and not play favorites.
