1-5 record in 5 NCAA tournament seasons with the 1 win being against American International College.  

1-4 record in first round games.

0-1 in regional final games. 

Now imagine Dave Hakstol was the coach during that stretch. 

I feel like the doomsday scenario changes depending on the coach though.

There were yearly threads calling for replacing Hakstol on here.
There are yearly threads calling for replacing Berry on here.

With Hakstol, everyone claimed he couldn't get the team over the last hump, despite leading them to countless F4.
With Berry, everyone claims he can't get the team motivated to make a run in the NCAA tourney...and his first title was Hakstol's team.

In truth, any coach is going to face a tough crowd here on ss.com, unless they win a title every 2-3 years.

I'd rather see UMass win, NCHC-pride be damned.  Hate DU more.
That said, DU looks like the better team.  UMass needs to generate a bit more if they're gonna make DU nervous.

UMass playing very hard, but not sure that'll be enough against a better Denver team that's also playing well.  They'll need a fortunate bounce or two.
