I will give him the benefit of the doubt and just say he more than likely got caught up in the moment and was fired up. If he does it again then I will be more critical of him. He would be suit popping drinking coca colas up top if he was still here so I guess he made the right decision. Feel good moment for him even if extremely short lived. Quote
Oldguy Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Constantini can jersey pop all he wants, but he's still playing for a team that probably won't make the playoffs = jackass. 1 Quote

I believe it is Senior night with a chance to get a share of the NCHC championship, so the incentive should be there. Of course Western has ruined our Senior night in the past. I believe CC still has a chance at the title as well. Quote

Even if we beat them tomorrow I think they still have a good chance at the NCAA. The way they take face offs and pressure, they would be a hard out as well. 1 Quote

neoflex Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Terribly outplayed tonight. W. Michigan had a huge advantage in puck obsession & shots, but UND held the line with the blocked shots. we've been on the losing end of games where we should have won, so good to see that tonight was our night. Get the sweep tomorrow night. Quote

ND_Texan Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Goals from all four lines last night. Gotta love the relentless balance in this squad. Something you don’t see with Boston C or Boston U. Quote

Fun atmosphere at the Ralph. Very entertaining hockey. Quite a bit of line juggling throughout the night. Gaber was giving his normal high effort, but I thought Western did a good job against him but that could be said for the majority. For as tough a style as Western played, I didn't see a lot of the extra slashes, jabs or other after the whistle crap like UMD. 4 Quote
ND_Texan Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Western still above the cut line after this loss. A win tonight gets them in I think for certain. Even another loss tonight they’ll be better than 50% odds to get in. They stand at 74% probability now. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Long time listener, first time caller here. Did Western get hot goalied or is that still just us? Didn't watch game at all. I'll hang up and listen. 4 Quote

Sioux shots are quality shots from close in between the dots, the kind that result in goals. Sioux also have more snipers than Western. Western seems to rely on greasy goals and rebounds - that’s their style of offense. Persson wasn’t tested to the degree the number of SOG’s might suggest. 1 Quote

They play Miami next week, then I assume they would probably need to win their first round playoff series, which could be against another NCAA bubble team. 1 Quote

Wish we would be that relentless on a more consistent basis. I was surprised how many 50/50 puck battles we lost last night. Need to turn that around tonight to get at least a share of the title. TwamleyShuffle Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I like how most of the folks on here generally agree with me that UND needs a better effort in game two. Makes me feel I’m not being too critical lol. Hope they come out and play like the did when they locked down DU to give the team momentum for the last part of season. Not going to predict the score but will predict to see the NODAK jerseys on senior night for whatever it’s worth. 1 Quote
