If Persson can keep this up all year I like our chances

So you’re back on the bandwagon and off the football bandwagon?  Guess like the Dr. Pepper commercial you could be off again after a goal against Mankato.

Students probably love it. They probably don't know UND hockey culture, and are probably pretty buzzed to start with.

I know I was, even though I was attending UND hockey games since I was in grade school, with my parents.

Well I was never a believer that the football team would win a title or anything.  UND hockey is winning me over on this season after a game like tonight.

Even back in the original barn, when I went with my parents as a young kid, people were passing thermoses with various "fortified beverages" in them. And people brought blankets because it was so damn cold in there, so cold that it actually got foggy at times.

Persson has certainly eased some of my concerns the last 2 nights.

Got a long way to go in some areas. Have to get PP figured out.

Good win that will hold up well as the season goes but it’s still just 1 game. Celebration seemed a bit over the top tonight and this win doesn’t mean anything next weekend, can’t have a hangover effect.

If I recall correctly, both Minnie and UND have scored over 4 goals a game. I'd say we have done pretty well with the sweep, although the run of goals last night was not ideal.

Can anyone else verify that the players DID NOT shake hands with Motzko and his staff?

Rewatching it on NCHC.TV it's hard to tell no good angles

Good to see the team up their compete tonight...Gaber was way better tonight, thought he really played his game although he was getting a lot of attention from the Gofer D.  Blake continues to impress, he just finds a way to get around guys and to the net.  Gofer goalie was hot, stopped how many point blank chances?  BTW, our goalie is pretty damn good as well.

Gonna be fun to see this team after they get a few more games under their belt and get the power play ramped up.  And yes, stick salute is only for home sweeps.  C'mon! :)

I got caught trying to make a mixer in the stall at the old Ralph.  Security figured it out after my 3rd. or so visit to the bathroom.  :D  Thankfully I was at least 21 at the time.  They just kicked me out for the night.

I just missed seeing a game by a few months.  I enrolled at UND during summer session 1972.  Would have loved to see a game in the old barn.  I hear it was a fun and very cold adventure.

Half the team is new, so as the season goes on, they will get better. Tonight was a great response from yesterday. Let these kids learn each other's style of play and who knows from there?

Did anyone say anything about Zmolek?  Would be a shame if he missed the series against his old team.

I saw him take a puck off the body but I thought he was back out there later.

He came back, but didn’t notice him playing down the stretch. I was surprised Benoit was playing down the stretch, and then was looking for Zmolek.  Benoit certainly didn’t look out of place.  Nice we could get it done without Pehrson and Zmolek and a non-existent power play.

Zmolek blocked a puck and went down the tunnel and didn’t come back.

Pretty sure that was Weibe. He did the same thing last night. Unforced icing. Room to skate and pass.

Nice to have a teachable moment in a win.  I was wondering myself about that play.

he definitely came back because he took a penalty after that blocked shot.

Berry talked about him not being able to finish the game. Sounds like he's day-to-day.
