Then UND feels compelled to make a cross ice pass to the far side UND player which gets intercepted. I believe the opponents begin looking for that pass. To much passing predictability. Near side player should bring it in the zone and shoot with the far side player looking for a possible rebound. Now you can pass or shoot, so two threats instead of one is available.
